From the Back Cover
Fire blazes from heaven, and a stone altar erupts in flame. So begins a spiritual awakening, the kindling of a revival fire still burning today. Beginning with Elijah and God's tremendous one-day revival of Israel, Wesley Duewel tells stories of revivals spanning the globe from America to China to Africa, all brought by obedience and heartfelt prayer. He illustrates how God has used revival fire through the centuries to revive the church and reveal the glorious presence of the Holy Spirit.

I recall reading a particular chapter one night. The chapter focused on prayer through the night. After reading the chapter, I felt the Holy Spirit nudging my heart to pray before going to sleep. I was really sleepy after reading that chapter and I was trying to give myself the excuse that I'm too sleepy to pray. However, I was reminded of what I would tell others - 'whether you feel like it or not, you should pray.' I decided to take my own advice and stood up in my room pacing the floor a bit and started to move my lips and praise God in prayer. Within 5 minutes, sleep left my body and I was having a wonderful time moving up and down in my room praising and talking to God in prayer. I felt the presence of the Lord strongly in the room. It was one of the most awesome times of personal fellowship with the Lord I've had up to that time. I was up for about 3 hours just doing that.
The book has impacted my prayer life and also was very beneficial to me during my undergraduate campus days where a group of likeminded young adults met weekly in prayer seeking God for revival on campus and seeing growth in the campus ministry as people gave their lives to God.
Allow yourself to be impacted by this book so you can impact those around you and bring forth a revival in your life and in theirs.
