Hazelnut is not for dark skin tones

I am a dark skin tone African American.
I like neutral lip colors. So, I did much research to find lip colors for my skin tone. I wanted something with just a hint of pink.
I saw many good reviews on Revlon's Hazelnut as one for dark skin tones.
However, this did not meet my color expectations. On my lips, this color is white. There is no color. It just gave me white lips. This is not what I wanted.
I don't buy drugstore lipsticks for this reason. I can never find a color to complement my skin tone.
But I'll give this lipstick 3 stars. It goes on smoothly and is moisturizing.
I tried putting lip liner with it, although I don't want to have to bother with lip liner with a lipstick. The lipstick lasted about half an hour on my lips with the lip liner.
So the bottom line is that Hazelnut has too much white in it, it doesn't stay on lips very long. This is just a light moisturizer for lips.

I got the color Blush after seeing it in a picture. I looked for it and after finally finding the right 1 I ordered immediately. I couldn't wait to try it. I'm have light neutral complexion (Revlon colorstay in #150 Buff is my perfect match) and I wanted a color that was the same as my lips but with a little extra and this color is perfect. Its creamy and smooth without feathering. It doesn't last all day but I don't mind because i love the way it feels as I apply it. I already ordered another for my purse. I hope I can continue to find sellers that have this color available until I come across another as beautiful that hasn't been discontinued. Its just a perfect natural color. I can't use it enough. 😍
UPDATE: I received my 2nd tube. Perfect. Sealed and new. Now I have 1 for my purse. I absolutely love this color and I can use different colored glosses to make it even more beautiful, even though it is perfect by itself.

Exactly what I think a lipstick should be

I bought the mauve - it matches the pic exactly. I like Revlon products - this feels good when applied - smooth and creamy never heavy.

There is solid saturation of color with a nice lasting power. Some lipsticks seem to bleed around my mouth no matter what, this Revlon had no bleeding, even without a lip liner, which I appreciate.

I noticed another reviewer was disappointed that hers was sparkly - it's difficult to notice the shimmer in some of the colors in these pics - but as far as the color, dead on for mine.

Beauty Seller ships from NJ - I'm on the west coast, so shipping was fine. Free shipping and a less expensive price than any of the local stores and more colors to choose from as well - I'll be back.

My invoice included a note about how to contact the seller if there were any problems with the order, etc., I appreciate a vendor that shows their appreciation of my business.

Revlon lipstick never disappoints!

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in True Red is the perfect red for me. It has a classic Hollywood glam shade of red that looks good on everyone. I have golden undertones and a tan complexion, and many red lipsticks tend to look more like a deep fuschia on me. This one came out as expected -- a true red. It's not too deep, not too bright, not too pink, not too brown. It's just perfect.

The lipstick goes on creamy and has a little sheen to it. The color really pops. It doesn't stay very long, and it does transfer, so be prepared to get it everywhere. If you lock it in with a topcoat, you can get a longer wear out of it. But I find that when I eat, it fades away pretty fast. The product never claims to be long-lasting or matte, so I don't consider this to be a problem. It's exactly what I expected: a colorful cream lipstick.

I first purchased Crimson and Plum and found both extremely wearable, versatile (depending on the amount applied for a gloss type or deeply pigmented finish) and long wearing. I added Hazelnut, Rosy Nude, Lilac, Raspberry and recently Coral for a spring/summer look, (I always find a coral perfect during these seasons). I like that there is no taste or noticeable fragrance. The cases are sleek snap closed well and the colored tops make it easy for me to choose the one I want. I love the Hazelnut as I have a cool skin tone and usually any brown tones make my skin look muddy but this color is so pretty with my skin and white hair. And I normally really shy away from any frosted lipsticks as I think they age but the Hazelnut and the Lilac are frosted and look really great. I almost forgot my favorite, Mauve, which is most like my lip color so it's the one I grab on any day that's casual and understated. The crimson is a great cool red, and the plum is a better evening look now but I'll wear it again come Fall. That these are discontinued and so low priced prompted me to by two of a number of my favorite colors. I think anyone could find shades that would work for them and at these prices Lipstick lovers should snap them up!

The quality of the product was great. I like the brand. I just had one disappointment and this is very important for girls to know, when Lip Sticks aren't fully sealed whether you're buying at the store or online (this one was held together with a simple barcode sticker) wind the lip stick out as much as you can and see if a customer has tested it. You'll see a swiping finger print breaking the high shine texture. It's easy to spot and you won't end up putting someone's dirty hand germs on your MOUTH! I am not saying that the seller did this, but they should be aware of checking such things in the future if they're going to sell something unsealed or it looks bad for them. I had to use 99% alcohol to disinfect.

This is a creme, verus a lutre, lipstick. That means that there's more pigment AND it lasts many times longer than a MAC Lustre. I love Syrup, but it's just ridiculous how quickly it comes off the lips. No, I don't feel like applying a lippie every 30 minutes. This Revlon lippie is the same muted pink-lilac, and it's gorgeous. It goes really well with my NW20 skin--even with a pink, slightly coral, sweater and NARS Orgasm blush. ColorBurst Lilac is just gorgeous. (FYI, I've got very dark brown hair and eyes; pigmented lips.) This lippie doesn't feel like a lustre or lipbalm, but it does leave a little stain behind, all for the better. I'll be stocking up.
