In Revolution from Above, Dr. Bolton demonstrates that the supposed rivalry between Marxist-inspired movements and capitalism has always been an illusion. Marxism, Communism and liberalism have been and continue to be exploited by the forces of international capitalism to further their global agenda, despite their surface disagreements. Dr. Bolton shows that the ultimate goal of capitalism is to create a worldwide collectivist society of consumers, and Marxism is merely one means of attaining this. He traces this idea back to Plato, through the Illuminati, the Freemasons, the French Revolution, and Communism, and examines the evidence for the existence of a shadowy network of bankers who control a large portion of the world's political and economic power. He then discusses the various instruments this network uses to maintain control, such as tax-exempt foundations and think tanks. Dr. Bolton also reveals how capitalist governments actually worked closely with Communist regimes and, in fact, frustrated genuinely anti-Communist efforts during the Cold War. He discusses the impact this has had on Western society, resulting in such trends as the sexual revolution and the promotion of drug use. Dr. Bolton then brings us up-to-date by discussing the role of the recent "Arab spring" in these ongoing developments. One will never be able to view modern history the same way again after reading Dr. Bolton's arguments and examining the supporting evidence. K. R. Bolton holds doctorates in Historical Theology and Theology; Ph.D. (Hist. Th.), Th.D. as well as in other areas. He is a contributing writer for The Foreign Policy Journal, and a Fellow of the Academy of Social and Political Research in Greece. His papers and articles have been published by both scholarly and popular media, including the International Journal of Social Economics; Journal of Social, Political, and Economic Studies; Geopolitika; World Affairs; India Quarterly; and The Initiate: Journal of Traditional Studies. His work has been translated into Russian, Vietnamese, Italian, Czech, Latvian, Farsi and French.

Hand in hand towards the New World Order

This fascinating book contains a wealth of facts that you are unlikely to read about in mainstream works of history. Did you, for example, know that the Bolshevik revolution in Russia was funded by wealthy Wall Street bankers? That British and German capitalists financed socialist movements and institutions such as the Fabian Society and the Frankfurt School? That the multi-billionaire and international speculator George Soros bankrolls organizations promoting the legalization of drugs?

How can facts such as these be reconciled? Why do super-rich plutocrats promote socialism and support movements that seek to undermine traditional values? Dr. Bolton's controversial, but well-documented, hypothesis is that Big Business and Marxism ultimately work towards the same goal: the establishment of a World State on the ruins of traditional societies and nation states.

Imposed Revolution

Before I read this book, I was pretty convinced of the following things:

-The phrase "New World Order" is just some paranoid meme, used by people who believe in things like lizard people and alien probes
-There's not enough evidence to prove any "conspiracy theory"
-The 1960s counterculture won a "long march through the institutions," which was resisted by the establishment at every turn

How wrong this is! "Revolution From Above" showcases elite and governmental support for "countercultural" movements like feminism, recreational drug use, rock music, etc. According to the book, many of these movements would never have got off the ground without lavish funding from sources like the Rockefeller Foundation. It's a little scary to know how many "fight the power" movements were actually funded by the powers they were supposedly fighting.

This book's main thesis is that communism and capitalism are both tools of "global plutocrats," and that many well-meaning people are actually "serving as dupes for aims of which they know nothing." Even if you think this is nonsense, you'd do well to read this book. Dr. Bolton cites many little known events, alliances and incidents to make his case. These are worth knowing about, even if Bolton's thesis is bunk.

The issue of Plutocracy

This book, more than any other I have read, sums up well how the modern world has been manipulated; and it does so in a concise, clear manner. Best of all, it doesn't screw up the message by including some of the more odd side of conspiracy theories, such as reptoids and the like. Everything in this book, I believe, can be proven conclusively. I would recommend it to anyone.

An Eye Opener

Modern history is one of power centralization and destruction of traditional institutions. The the new paradigm sweeps away the moral foundation that are the foundations of western civilization and replaces it with a modern notion of morality that was conceived by the Marques De Sade 200 years ago.

The concept of the dignity of man based the concept of man being created in the image of God is gone and replaced by an economic value. Man now exists to satisfy his own passions and to provide economic value to the state. When we become no longer economically viable we lose out humanity in the eyes of modern society.

While not touching on this metaphysical truth the author does show how the modern state exists only to empower itself and the elites. It's an important read and gives you some of the modernist motives.

Money makes the world go round

The book postulates that Big Business is instrumental in driving societies towards a new world order where the masses will be ruled by a small elite of super-rich. Ironically, Bolton notes that capitalism and communism leads to the same result - power to the few and serfdom to the many. More specifically, Big Business influences societal development at home and abroad through the means of think tanks, non-governmental organizations and foundations that fund academic research, education programs, media and cultural institutions.

Bolton provides ample examples of the subvertive actions by Big Business to instigate social change or even orchestrate revolutions - from the Russian revolution up to the recent turmoil in North Africa - to gain access to resources or geostrategic important locations in foreign states run by un-cooperative leaders.

The book describes the operation of think tanks (such as Council of Foreign Relations), where Big Business liaisons with prominent researchers and media executives to craft long-term policies that are implemented by foundations (such as the Ford Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation) and non-governmental organizations controlled by Big Business.

Finally, the book contains a section on how Big Business acts under the auspices of promoting democracy and human rights with the hidden agenda to subvert foreign nations while retaining the moral high ground (the book contains several references to George Soros "philantropy" through his Open Society Institute that has been instrumental in suppporting and even initiating revolutions).

In summary, Bolton has done a major effort in summarizing the engagement by Big Business in societal development at home and abroad. The readability of the book could have been somewhat improved by placing some of the lengthy enumerations of organizations and individuals within an appendix.
