The reading of your book Revolution and Counter-Revolution made a magnificent impression on me because of the courage and mastery with which you analyze the process of the Revolution and shed abundant light on the true cause of the crumbling of moral values disorienting consciences today, and also because of the vigor with which you indicate the tactic and the methods to overcome it.
I especially appreciated the second part of your book, highlighting the efficacy of Catholic doctrine and the spiritual remedies the Church possesses to combat and vanquish the forces and errors the Revolution.
I am certain that your book has rendered an important service to the Catholic cause and that it will help gather the forces of good in order to solve this great contemporary problem. This is, in my opinion, the way repeatedly indicated by the present Vicar of Christ, who, with so much conviction and solicitude, has insisted on a profound renewal of Christian and sacramental life as a sure remedy for the evils afflicting the world, evils that government leaders vainly seek to solve through the precarious efficacy of weapons, technology, and purely human progress.
I wish, dear Professor, a widespread diffusion of and a well-merited response to your book from Catholic leaders wishing to join the ranks of the counter-revolutionary movement.
Please accept the testimony of my sincere admiration for your work and the expression of my deepest esteem. --Archbishop Romolo Carboni - Apostolic Nuncio to Peru and Italy

In a nutshell this book is an historical analysis of the moral crisis which engulfs the world, defined by the author as THE Revolution, starting with the decline and fall of the Middle Ages. Since then there have been three episodes or stages in this Revolutionary process; the French, Protestant and Communist revolution. Each episode is a revolution with a small "r" and are merely stages of a bigger process that lead mankind toward a downward spiral.
Although this book was first published in 1959, it is as timely today as ever. This is especially so when we consider that we are now going from the third revolution (Communism) to the fourth revolution (tribalism) which is the chaotic, anarchic revolution.
Each stage of the Revolution brings another step of egalitarianism which is taking mankind each time closer to a world diametrically opposite to the hierarchical one established by God.
Protestantism brought us religious equality, when a revolt against the Pope; the French revolution brought us political equality with the murder of King and Queen and finally Communism heralded economic equality. With the fourth revolution we have another degree of leveling in society with the equality of man and animals. Lets face it animals have more rights these days than humans. You can abort your child but wow to him who hurts his dog.
There is so much this book has to offer for those looking for answers. I personally knew the author and I can assure you that anything he authored will be well worth your time. While others skate around the issues, Prof. Plinio Correa de Oliveira went to the very heart of the matter. This book is his masterpiece. Amazon simply does not provide enough stars to rate it!!!
