chasing this author's work(sigh) sic transit gloria mundi !
Like all of Mr. Vltchek’s writings, this book is very personal and passionate. Reading his work is not for the lighthearted. Bearing his soul, he truthfully and patiently explains how Western civilization was diagnosed by Carl Jung as “pathological”, while destroying the planet, genocidally exterminating up to a billion mostly dark-skinned peoples and calling White Christians a horde of savage beasts. This does not sit well with the world’s elites, their minions and a huge chunk of humanity that is too brainwashed to know any better.
As the book’s title suggests, Andre talks about what it feels like to spend time in London, Paris and New York, with their Western nihilism, and then juxtaposing this with his travels and contacts with people in Eritrea, Lebanon, Cuba, Nicaragua, Indonesia, Syria, Venezuela, China, Russia, Iran, and other countries, where either the government and the people, and/or individuals and groups are trying to create a just and equitable world for the 99% - the Dreaded Other.
Mr. Vltchek called the downing of the MH17 airplane an obvious false flag, to assassinate Russia’s image in Western propaganda. This was very refreshing to see and let’s hope that he, his good friend Noam Chomsky and others continue to bring up false flags, since they are truly the catalyst that keeps Western empire’s worldwide Wehrmacht fully operational and in bloody business. At the same time, exposing them is the most powerful weapon the 99% has, since false flags show the naked truth about how depraved and evil Western governments really are.
One essay caught my eye and put a smile on my face. This was a 2016 speech that Andre gave to parliamentary members of Italy. I’m sure their ears were burning by the end of it, and we can rest assured that he will probably not get asked back again.
He also relentlessly skewers the West’s liberals and leftists, calling them fake and co-opted, which is true. The French call them the “Caviar and Champagne Left”, which is very fitting.
In another essay, he laments the endless rifts between Marxists, Leninists, Stalinists, Maoists and other left groups, and how Western propaganda is able to use this to sabotage any serious challenge to the West’s imperial world order.
In spite of the all the depressing news and oppressive behavior coming out of the West, Mr. Vltchek always comes back to the side of optimism for the future of the human race. He said that in Russian there are three words to describe existence: Love, Belief and Hope. He added Courage and Loyalty, to come up with an expanded definition of Life. I found this very powerful and uplifting.
The final entry is a rousing call to spiritual, cultural and political arms, to keep fighting the capitalist death machine, in spite of the seeming impossible odds to dislodge it globally.
As Andre says, he cannot imagine living his life any other way. On with the good fight!
