I bought the book hoping that Rex Harrison, the writer, would be as interesting--and sharp tongued--as some of the characters we have seen him play. He did not disappoint. On the contrary: the book proved to be a lot more interesting than I had expected. From the point of view of someone interested in the history of the theater, and even its techniques, this book is a must. From the point of view of someone who enjoys history in general, the insights into the II World War in England were fascinating. Best of all, the book is very well written, and makes it hard to stop reading. Truly worthwhile.

I bought this item as a Christmas gift for a friend and even though the description said this item was in good condition, it was not. There was a tear on the front of the dust jacket and the book needs to be re-bound. The pages aren't connected to the hardcover! For the price I paid, i really shouldn't be complaining, but I wish they would've put it in the description.

This man had an ego the size of the rock of Gibralter. Didn't even finish it I was so disgusted with him as a person.
