About this item
- FULL HD DUAL CHANNEL RECORDING: Front and rear cameras each record 1080p video @ 30fps. WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE allows each camera to perform optimally in low-light situations by carefully fine-tuning the exposure. 170 DEGREE ULTRA WIDE ANGLE LENSES on both cameras open up to capture sweeping views of their surroundings.
- BUILT-IN GPS: Internal GPS Logger allows you to mark time, date, location, and speed information to all your recordings without the need for a separate accessory.
- WI-FI CONNECT: View, save, and share dash cam recordings wirelessly on your mobile device with the use of an app interface.
- SUPERCAPACITOR: Power is delivered by a supercapacitor, a premium alternative to a lithium-ion battery which features an enhanced temperature resistance to hot and cold climates.
- SECURE RECORDING: Recordings are split into segments. When the storage limit is reached on the memory card, new recordings will automatically overwrite oldest recordings. When the G-sensor detects a collision, the current video is locked, ensuring important footage is kept protected. Supports class 10 or higher micro SD cards up to 256GB in size (not included).

Internal GPS Logger allows you to mark time, date, location, and speed information to all your recordings without the need for a separate accessory.

Overall it’s a good camera. I love some of the features, but this one does have some downsides that my 3rd gen didn’t have. For instance. The most annoying feature it that it makes a welcome sound whenever you turn start the car. I hate that so much. That’s the main reason I bumped it down a star.
Also, it doesn’t have the capability to record any higher than 1080p 30fps while using the rear camera. On my gen 3 I recorded at 1080p 60fps. I’d like this one to be able to do that. Even if the rear camera feed is lower quality.
The other down side is that this unit is very bulky. The gen3 would hide behind my mirror and no one would really notice it when they get in the car. This one is massive, and it announces its presence with that stupid chime whenever I start the car.
The WiFi is much improved. It connects fast and allows me to view live footage from the app reliably. I can view both cameras at once (like the picture I uploaded) or I can view each one individually. The device records two separate video files. One is for the front and one is for the rear.
Overall it’s a good camera. There are just some little bugs to work out. (LIKE THE STUPID CHIME!)
Trusted experience with Rexing and their previous camera model
Provide wire clips to hide the connections 4 and a prying plastic tool for hiding the wires behind panels
Rear View camera with GPS capabilities
Software that is easy to use
Wi-fi capabilities which allows for downloads on the fly instead of removing the memory card to download videos
Supercapacitor instead of a battery
G-sensor for collision with auto lock for current recording
The software can show your location on google maps as you drive around. Pretty neat if you use it on trucks or work vehicles in my opinion.
The view of the rear camera is a picture in picture (wish I could choose which one to display on the lcd screen)
Software is easy to use, just open the program and click file: open and select the video. Not sure why the video when played in the software player is a bit blurry when it is also displaying map speed etc. but when expanded it is clear and when I check it from the saved file and play it through .vlc player it looks great.
License plates are very clear and can be made out easily in the daytime
The size is substantially bigger than the older version, understandable since this has the GPS built in and allows for rear view camera connection. See pictures for a comparison between this and the older one I have.
The wire for the rear camera was very long! I have a honda civic coupe si and had to tuck a lot of the wire in the roof.
No alcohol swabs and cloths provided
The software on the computer could use more attention. The player controls and video are not smooth. Not sure why there was no G sensor data when I opened my selected video.

Installed the V1pro using the same power supply I previously used to power up my earlier model. The 3m camera mount is different than the earlier model so I had to stick a new pad to my window. (the previous 3m tape and camera mount never came loose and I live in Texas (I sometimes removed the camera when parked in direct sunlight). It would have been amazing if It used the same mount.
Will update as time goes by.
I have not yet used the Wifi capabilities and will upload some comments when I do!

Not a big deal but the V1p Pro has only 0, 1 & 3 min video lengths and the inability to shut down the rear camera. The V1p+ had the ability to choose 5 min videos and the option to close one camera.
The configuration tools are straightforward and once you have it set to your specifications, both cameras operate perfectly.
I drive a Medical Transport vehicle and record from 45 to 55 GBs of video each day, the sum of which is transferred daily to a portable hard drive, edited and used for other driver education purposes.
The video resolution from both cameras are so clear, you can read and ID license plates. For this reason - and my purposes, the V1p Pro is an excellent choice.
