But this story was just too rushed to like much about it.
The love between the characters didn't feel developed, it was a bit odd that the shifters only know their mate after kissing them rather than by scent, and this Safari Island the author was trying to create for readers didn't come across.
I didn't like how the author attempted to develop the characters. Addison was one of those women I just couldn't stand. She seemed too much of a stuck up but then was madly in love with Chet.
Overall, it was a underdeveloped story.
Addison's roommate, Lily, wins a dream vacation to a shifter-run resort and they make a pact to enjoy it to the hilt. Addison is quieter than Lily, but she's the one who gets lucky with the handsome safari guide, Chet, a rhino shifter. Chet recognizes Addison as his true mate and sets out to convince her.
If you liked Lola Kidd's Mail-Order Bride series, you will enjoy this new series as well. I look forward to reading the other Safari Resort stories.
This is purely romance. My only complaint is that it is too short, no buildup for characters or details to make it a great book. It doesn't really go into enough detail to endear characters or make a mystery about intruders. This book could easily have been a couple more hundred pages. The theme is a new setting with unusual shifters that would be all the better with more development.
It is a good paranormal romance. Anyone who likes paranormal romance will certainly enjoy and be entertained by this book. I recommend it for all adult readers 18 and older. I am going to read the next shifter romance "Two Crocs". More reviews to come.
It;S a good story just not the best I've ever read. I would recommend it and do think that over all it was nicely done and that all fan of the genre would like this one.
