i thought these would make great treats for 'trick or treaters'. don't get many where i live_ plus they're safer by having a flashing light on their hands- cars can see them- easier for parents to see them, etc. plus they're fun for the kids. they would be great for any holiday celebration or occasion- or just because
i even discovered these can be put on items other than fingers. i was able to slide one up the pole on my cane. you can slide them on bike handle bars. you'd be able to attach them to anything with a twist tie, string, clip, etc-- the uses are endless- can use to decorate christmas tree
gotta say i really like these- of the 48 rings i received only 1 was defective- the top jelly part of ring was 1//2 detached. it still worked. it was cool to see the insides- basically a stack of 3 button cell batteries fastened 2gether, 3 led lights & a on/off button.
since i couldn't give away i turned it on & let it run till it stopped- to find out how long it would last. i will share my results with you.
tues 4:30 pm turned on. very bright & quick flashes for about 4-5 hours- then it dimmed a little but continued to flash & was still decently bright enuf..
by 4:30 am wed. the green light stopped, but red & yellow continued on & still decently bright. continued to work getting dimmer as the hours went by- Friday, 8am only the red light was flashing- very dim & slow- about 3 days after turning it on it was done for- still a nice bumpy-jelly ring_ just no more lights... so if all the rings are similar- should get 48 hours of on time- & beyond that maybe too dim to be fun. but i was really impressed with how long it lasted. your kids/friends probably won't run it for 2 days straight- so they may get weeks/months of fun time.
these would be great during the christmas season too- flashing lights r part of the season festivities.
all 48 rings lit up- only 1 was torn- they're very stretchy- fit on all 10 of my fingers & all 10 of my toes.
they cost less than .50 cents a piece when buying 2 boxes of 12 rings @ under $12
i would recommend these. they aren't expensive- they provide many hours of bright/flashing lights- they're cute, stretchy & fun 2 wear-- & can still be worn as a fun jelly ring after the batteries die.
i'll post some pics & video so u can see them in action- that way u know what you're getting. [...] thanx & HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!
I purchased these to use as a Fund Raiser for our Relay for Life team. We did all things that Glow. I bought the big package and was excited to have the kids sell them off. As it got dark and we started selling them, we noticed the issues. over half of them didn't work. The button that turns them on and off had popped out of them. I was able to fix a few of them, but most were unable to be fixed. We had another bunch that we were able to turn on, but the button shifted after they were on, and we could't get them back off.
I wonder if we got a defective run. It was sad that we weren't able to even raise enough money for what we paid for these.
Dec 23rd: I actually got the Flashing LED Bumpy rings! How delightful. And only one of them was broken, rather than the aforementioned 8 rings. I'm satisfied. I'll just let it go... I have enough for my purposes: a really fun pot luck, jam session, and party.
