About the Author
Dave and Lillian have collaborated their efforts to create the Brummet Media Group and have authored 6 books to date (2014). Their published books include the one you are reading today, a two-part series titled: Trash Talk (Books 1 and 2), Towards Understanding (a collection of Lillian’s poetry), Jump Start for Writers, and a guide for authors titled: Purple Snowflake Marketing. Keep an eye on their site for upcoming books in the realm of healthy cooking and biodynamic gardening. Lillian has fond memories of an early childhood in California and Nevada (USA) and grew up in the south-central region of BC, Canada. Dave was born and raised in Kelowna (BC) where he met up with Lillian in 1990 and they have been together ever since. A professional drummer/percussionist and educator, Dave has collaborated on many songs that later led to him writing lyrics of his own. Most of his poems in this book were in fact initially written as song lyrics, thus the presence of repeating choruses though out. Actually it was Dave who first sparked the idea for the Brummet’s to walk this path they tread today – he decided to take a writer’s course to learn what he might be able to do with his short stories that he has compiled over the years. Most of those stories have remained unpublished to this day due to other projects taking precedence, but Dave plans to release some in the near future. His poem “UFO Dream” is the theme of one of his soon-to-be novels that he has been working on. In those few stolen moments when the Brummets are not running their business, they can be found spending time in low-impact eco-friendly activities. Ranging from gardening, photography, music, enjoying nature while camping and walking the many trails in British Colombia’s wilderness, snowshoeing in the winter, or playing with their fur-kids (currently: Korma the cat and two dogs – Skyla and Duchess). The main focus of everything the Brummets do in their personal life or in business, is to inspire hope in individuals by encouraging them to become more positive and proactive in life and helping them realize the value of their efforts.
