About this item

  • NATURAL STRAWS: These natural, eco-friendly straws are made with rice flour, tapioca starch, water, and a bit of fruit or vegetable juice for color. They are odorless and fully edible, so you can drink and eat with them. Put some sauce or salt on one for a crunchy snack, or cook some into congee or porridge after use!
  • BIODEGRADABLE & COMPOSTABLE STRAWS: Our biodegradable straws are a wonderful alternative to plastic. Unlike plastic drinking straws, our eco-friendly straws contain absolutely no chemicals, BPA, or toxic materials. Our compostable drinking straws also break down easily. Toss them in your garden or compost bin after use—they'll decompose within 3 months!
  • LONG-LASTING, STURDY STRAWS: Paper straws often become soggy and begin breaking down while in use, leaving bits of straw paper in your drink. Our cute straws last up to 2 hours in any beverage and are very sturdy. They are colored with natural plant-based colors, including white, green, pink, blue, and yellow.
  • HIGH-QUALITY NATURAL STRAW: Our world-class team is passionate about sustainability and quality. We are proud to have strict manufacturing, quality-assurance, and quality-control standards in place for our trusted, exceptional products. Our products are so easy to switch to and so high-quality that you may not even notice the difference!
  • SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS: We want to build a sustainable future. All of our products maximize existing natural resources and by-products to minimize waste. They leave the earth as naturally as they enter it. Our products are sourced from regions that support local farming initiatives. We strive to support the community as much as we do Mother Nature.

Product Description

These eco-friendly straws are suitable for cold and iced drinks and can be used by both kids and adults. Available in a variety of sizes and colors, they make great sustainable straws for birthday parties, baby showers, wedding receptions, bridal showers, housewarming parties, and more! They really are the perfect party straw! These replacement plastic straws are also great for camping, picnicking, hiking, or packing in your child's lunchbox.

Our environmentally friendly straws are a great ecological alternative to single-use plastic disposable straws and help reduce plastic consumption and ocean pollution. Unlike paper drinking straws, our compostable, biodegradable straws are hard and sturdy, and they'll decompose within 3 months. No more sacrificing on how you enjoy your drink!

At EQUO, we harness the raw power of Mother Nature to replace single-use plastics and create our products. All our products are 100% natural, plastic-free, clean, chemical-free, biodegradable, and compostable. We create products with minimal impact on the environment and aim to provide a variety of truly eco-friendly solutions for everyday items. We believe that eco-friendly solutions will leave the earth as naturally as they enter it. Our products are sourced from regions that support local farming initiatives, and we strive to support the community as much as we do Mother Nature. These are much thicker than I was expecting. It’s almost like a rice pasta, like a larger dried rice bucatini that you sip through. Which is fine in terms of use and texture, and I don’t think that would bother me, however because the product resembles pasta, it does mean the item is also brittle like pasta. So a few of the straws were already broken when they arrived. That could have something to do with the fact that the package was open already as seen in the photo. It’s very deliberately opened and torn at the perforation meant to be the opening to retrieve the straws. Which is nice in essence, but I’m annoyed that this product appears used. I did count and all 50 straws are still in the package (now, less the broken 2 or 3) and I just don’t have the energy to do a return or exchange for this when I intend to use the item tomorrow. I will say a prayer over my straws and assume what’s the worst someone could have possibly done with these biodegradable straws before they got to me…. Overall underwhelmed and a little annoyed with this package and delivery but seems fine enough and I’m sure it will work. Interested to see how they hold up after being submerged in a beverage for a few hours and if there is any taste or aftertaste.Lastly and unrelated to the product, Amazon noted that the delivery was handed to a resident. Untrue. It was on my front porch when I returned home. Not an issue… just mentioning for my overall review of this item and delivery.I probably wouldn’t order again just because I was expecting something slightly different and will likely try to find a product a little thinner and a little closer resembling plastic.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I have tried Equo’s coconut, rice, sugarcane and grass straws. They all have their place and they all have distinct differences. This rice one and the coconut one are thicker walled and well-suited to thick drinks. The coconut one is rather chew-proof while this rice one is easy to crunch up. That could be an issue with very young children. My own preference for drinking smoothies is the coconut straw, but is you want to eat your straw when you are done, this is it…

But that’s JustMe. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review, and that is what I have offered here.)

My toddler likes to use straws to drink. I bought these straws for him to use for its fun colors and because they were biodegradable; however, they aren't safe for kids. Didn't expect them break like glass. Also some were already broken in the box when they arrived. This product may work for a home with adults but not children.
