If you're the least bit interested in why "the wealthy don't pay enough taxes", this book is for you. If you're a member of the media who reports that "the wealthy don't pay enough taxes", this book is for you.

This is a book that not only Warren Buffet (who is mentioned numerous times) should read, but anyone who thinks Warren Buffet "doesn't pay enough tax" should also take the time to read this and learn from it. You will not only understand that Warren Buffet actually does pay MORE in taxes than his secretary, but you will also learn WHY Warren Buffet pays more in taxes. John will also help you figure this out on your own and show you why MILLIONS of wealthy people are leaving the US in droves.

This is such an amazing book! It's about time somebody finally put this information on paper. Thank you John Gaver!

Author John Gaver has done a remarkable job of researching IRS tax data, collating it into easily-understood, conclusive evidence that the citizens of the U.S. have been duped (surprised?) into believing that the wealthy don't pay their "fair share" of federal taxes.

If you've thought that way, you have a choice - either continue on your path of deception or learn the truth. In a couple hours, you will learn more about economics and taxes by reading this book than you likely did in an entire semester in high school.

Do yourself - and your country - a favor, and read this book right away!

If you suspect our tax system needs a do over, read John Gaver's new book, The Rich Don't Pay Tax!. It's available on Kindle, soon to be out in paperback. It is the most succinct and cogent work on the problem(income tax) and the solution (the FairTax) to date. Great discussion on the top 1%, meticulously researched.

This book is an eye opener. The complexity of the US tax code is no secret but the misinformation regarding which group pays what continues to permeate society. Mr. Graver doesn't rely on hearsay or subjective "expert opinions" to draw his conclusions. Instead, he uses the latest IRS Collections Data to prove definitively who pays the most taxes and how that's changed over the last 30+/- years. What the data shows is shocking and contrary to what most people believe or at minimum would like to believe. Mr. Graver further points out the consequences of our current tax code and then provides a realistic solution.

This book is a must read for anyone who is interested in the truth and not swayed by talking points or anecdotal data. All sources are fully documented and readily accessible to anyone who wishes to check Mr. Graver's math, which is also outlined in a step by step manner.

Highly Recommended.

Generally I find these kinds of books boring and to be used to help me get to sleep. Not this one! it's well written, easy to read, full of interesting information and at times funny. The author didn't use elaborate high brow language that I needed to keep a dictionary on hand so to understand. Points are clear and substantiated well.

This book dispels a lot of misconceptions. In fact, the rich DO pay taxes.... but many of them do escape them. The reality is that the current system (the 75,000+ page tax code) is completely unfair, and serves the politicians, lobbyists and those that employ them. It demonstrates some of the problems with the current income tax, and recommends "The Fair Tax" as a solution - - which makes a lot of sense.

I enjoyed reading most of this book, but it did get a little tiresome at times. Lots of detailed data. The book does correctly point out that there is a proposed tax system that IS fair, that WILL INSURE that everyone pays their fair share of federal taxes, will NOT tax the poor, and will tax those in the middle fairly, and the rich heavily, but not unfairly. It's called "The Fair Tax," and I highly recommend getting the book:

THE FAIR TAX by Neil Boortz and read it before buying this book. It has a better overall discussion about the Income Tax and The Fair Tax (a proposed national sales tax). Everyone should get and read that book.
