About the Author
George Samuel Clason was born in Louisiana, Missouri, on November 7th, 1874. He attended the University of Nebraska and served in the United States Army during the Spanish-American War. A successful businessman, he founded the Clason Map Company of Denver, Colorado and published the first road atlas of the United States and Canada. In 1926, he issued the first of a famous series of pamphlets on thrift and financial success, using parables set in ancient Babylon to make each of his points. These were distributed in large quantities by banks and insurance companies and became familiar to millions, the most famous being “The Richest Man in Babylon,” the parable from which the present volume takes its title. These “Babylonian parables” have become a modern inspirational classic. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

The audiobook is far easier for me to follow as this is written in an early 1900's style of academic English but it does flow very well when read.
I'll go so far as to recommend you buy both the print and audio version of this classic as no home should be without it and no child should reach adulthood without having understood it's contents.
The decisions and debt many go into can be avoided simply by igniting the ideas this book espouses in people's mind (especially the young).
Get this book and think of money in a way most of us were never taught.
I bought the kindle edition and the formatting was perfectly fine.
A great book to give to teenagers and young adults, in hopes they learn how to handle their money for now, and for future experiences.
I have not always been terribly fascinated by information on money, but I decided recently I needed to learn more, and assigned myself a financial reading list, filled with books that were listed on multiple web sites as being some of the best financial books out there. This book managed to take a subject I was not overly eager to tackle and make it fun.
The information provided herein is basic common sense, but it contained some good reminders, and inspired me to actually take steps to improve my own financial health. I think this book would serve as a good primer for anyone wanting to learn the basics of wise money management.
The storytelling style reminded me of the Arabian Nights.
