But this season is amazing. Each episode has been better than the best of the first season in ways I didn't even know were possible. I can't reccomend it enough.
If you've never watched the show, watch season one. It's still incredible despite this season somehow managing to blow it out of the water. It develops the characters more fully and enhances the enjoyment of the show. If you've watched season one, you shouldn't need convincing.
Rick and Morty is like all the best parts of Futurama, South Park, the Venture Bros, and Family Guy / American Dad all in one cartoon.
More philosophically, I think Rick and Morty actually touches on some subtle but very important aspects of the human condition that are overlooked in lots of sci-fi and futurist imaginings. Particularly in the theoretical reality of many sentient and very different races, and the possibility of multi-dimensional interference in our base reality. Someone could probably write a paper on that, but I'm not gonna. Rick hasn't either, that should tell you something.
