I am a big fan of the Rick and Morty series and have really enjoyed other things that Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have produced. I wanted the Season One and Season Two Blu-Rays so that I could watch the show in full HD quality without the bleeping and irritating network logos. More than that, I was really hoping for interesting behind-the-scenes stuff and insights into how the show was written and created.

The video and audio quality for the episodes is excellent to my eyes and ears. No obvious artifacts, sound hiccups, etc.

The extra features in the set include commentary (sometimes more than one track) for each episode, along with alternate versions of the episodes while they were still works in progress, showing scenes and story elements eliminated from the finished episodes. Also included is a video of Chaos Chaos playing at the Season Two premiere party. Sadly, the audio quality of this extra makes it hard to really appreciate the music of this great band. At least we get to see them perform.

Probably my favorite feature of the set is the alternate versions of the episodes you get to watch. These are not the quality of the finished shows, often resorting to black and white static images, but include the voices of the actors. It's interesting to see other ways that A Rickle in Time might have played out, for example.

If you enjoy the show and want to hear it in all its HD "non-bleeped-out" quality, you should purchase this disc.

The adventures of Rick and Morty continue. As with Season 1, this DVD set contains 10 episodes of the cartoon (comprising season 2) and all have accompanying commentary. if you are like me and love writer/director commentaries then you love these.

The series continues to push my buttons with the right combination of "smart" and "dumb." Despite the lunacy of the adventures with Rick's space ship and portal gun, the show also continues to delve into deeper issues of the rocky marriage Jerry and Beth share on the domestic front. And Summer and Rick develop a deeper bond.

Almost season 2 could be called Rick vs. Morty as their viewpoints continue to collide and the two of them influence the other. Morty started innocent and clueless and basically a good hearted kid. But perhaps begins to become more jaded like Rick. And perhaps Morty has signs of something like PTSD from the horrors he's witnessed. Rick slowly shows inklings of more compassion towards his grandchildren. Especially towards Summer who he pretty much blew off through all of season 1. Will Morty eventually become a dumber version of Rick? Closed off from people? Will Rick figure out that the reason for living is family and the people you love?

I spend too much time thinking about this show.

Very rare do you find a show that perfectly blends both defining a genre while at the same time parodying it, but Rick and Morty consistently nails it just about every episode! Some of the best episodes are in season 2 as well. If you are a fan of sci-fi, cartoons, or any kind of humor really, you will not be let down by this show.

Only reason I have to knock off a star though, is that the packing claims to include a "Digital HD" copy of the show, but there was no code included in the box. I contacted Warner Bros. to see if it was possible to receive a code and received a reply that the digital code offers have expired and codes are no longer available. It's unfortunate they are still advertising the code on the package, but oh well...

When they are old enough to engage in debates on the existence of humanity, the universe, and themselves without having a total meltdown when I say "have you ever considered that it's all just pure dumb luck?", I'll consider it.

The special features were good on here, maybe not as good as the first, but I'm not sure, it may just be because I liked the first season more than this season! There was a digital copy with this purchase, but I don't think not receiving one has been as big of an issue on this one. It's UltraViolet, which I hate, because I'm an iTunes guy. It says it's only on VUDU, but that's just the place it makes you redeem it, because I can see it on my FandangoNow, which is my preferred service for viewing UltraViolet, now that Flixster Video is gone! If it were me, I'd just buy the DVD, and then also buy it on iTunes! I'm not sure if I can edit these reviews or not, so hopefully there's nothing wrong, and I didn't forget anything! Hopefully you liked the last one, and this one! (By the way, I was going to post the last picture with the code where it was when I first got it and opened it, but I've already used it, and I was worried some people might not read this review, and just try to use it, then get angry that it didn't work for them!)

For anyone wondering this appears to be a USA blu ray but it works fine on my UK blu ray player. Rick and Morty is currently my favourite TV show and this looks to be the only way to own it properly in HD bluray. I probably don't need to tell you how fantastic the show is if you're reading this. The video quality on this disk is fantastic and it's great to watch the show in 1080p. The extras and in particular the directors commentary are very very funny on this disk and I highly recommend watching every episode with the commentary on if you're a real fan like me and looking for a new way to experience the episodes. The making of section is also very funny and well worth watching and it continues on from the first disk for Season 1.

Overall this is a great way to watch a truly great TV series.

Although it's easily available on Netflix I had to get this series on Blu Ray. I'd initially missed the boat when S1 aired and it was not till S2 had been completed that I started to watch, now I wish I had not as I have to wait for S3, then S4, I hate my life!

The disc has all the episodes from S2 as well as some trailers and commentaries, I personally would have liked more interview as I think the creators are brilliantly funny.

* Contrary to the amazon description there are in fact the english subtitles for the hearing impaired. *
The commentaries are numerous (at least one per episode, sometime 2 or 3), interesting, weird and funny.
And finally there isn't a "making of the series" like in the season 1 but a video recording of the opening concert of the premiere.
