I bought these for my popsicle deck skateboard. I originally skated back in late 80s (When Rodney Mullen skated freestyle! Remember those tiny boards?!?) and early 90s (Matt Hensley and H-Street and 360 one-foot backside ollies!), when the typical durometer for street wheels was between 85a (Rat Bones) and 92a, soft enought to get you over minor rocks and debris, and great for slappy grinds. Typical street wheel today seems to be 99a+, hard as a rock and noisy as heck. I wanted some soft wheels for my street deck because sometimes I wanna make a run to the mailbox and pop a few ollies and kickflips on the way, but I can't do this on my longboard. These Rictas, at 78a and 54mm work perfect, still make good speed (I use the inexpensive but excellent Bones Reds bearings), ride ultra smooooooth, and I don't skid or jam up on every little road or sidewalk imperfection. As a bonus, these guys are relatively quiet, and slide well. They ride great on asphalt and concrete roads and sidewalks, but I haven't tried them at a park or on wooden ramps yet. With these wheels, you have the smooth, comfortable ride of a longboard, but can still knock off some tricks on the shortboard, the perfect compromise. Highly recommended!

I've ridden a Penny skateboard and a regular skateboard with large but hard wheels. So I have commuted with the two extremes. The Penny one has large soft wheels that ride easier and cruise better, but it slows down much quicker. The large hard wheels are the opposite, they are faster, but more brutal on my feet. These Ricta Clouds are perfect! The soft outer layer and hard inner layer is exactly what I was looking for. It allows me to go fast, cruise, and have a comfortable ride. I don't know why it took me this long to decide on these wheels. Pair it along with some Bones Hardcore medium bushings, and you are riding a regular skateboard with the cruising ability of a longboard and the agility of a street skateboard.

I'm too old to skateboard regularly but I do know how to skate.... I used to skate pools and halfpipes back in the day but I can't do modern tricks like front side fakey this and that... have no idea what those are. My son has gotten into skateboarding so we built 2 boards, one for him and one for me. Those tiny 100-105a skate wheels are a joke. May as well skate on marbles. So hard and so loud! I prefer 76-78a longboard wheels for a smooth quiet ride. I don't do slides so flat spots are not an issue, I just ride with my son so I can hang out with him while he does what he enjoys.

These wheels are exactly what I was looking for. Just as smooth as the wheels on my Arbor long board and very quiet. I have a Girl Mikemo deck with Independent Koston Stage 11 trucks and Reds. So far these wheels have increased my comfort level and skating fun by several orders of magnitude. Soooooooo smooth and incredibly quiet. I literally ride up and down the asphalt street and it feels like I'm on super smooth concrete. I have no idea if these wheels will affect the height of your Ollies but if it's quiet and comfort you want, get these wheels!

I just put these wheels on my shortboard pop-sickle trick deck and it rolls like a charm.
The wheels I had previous were hard and loud and I would have to kick constantly to roll. These wheels felt great right when I got on them. These wheels are great if you want to cruise around on your shortboard. The guy at the skateshop said there was no wheel to turn my shortboard into a cruiser, and he wanted me to by a "hybrid" board. I said fuq dat sheet

I put these wheels on my board last night and took my boys to the skate park! It was awesome! They are great wheels; very fast, smooth ride, and look awesome on my board! I just started skating and don't know too much about wheels, but I do recommend these Ricta Clouds!

These wheels are great if you like to get anywhere on a new-school trick setup without pushing the whole time and getting rattled around by every bump and crack in the pavement. Hard wheels are great for stabilizing tricks. But if you skate street, or skate to the park, or to work, or everywhere, you need a little versatility. Soft longboard and old-school reissue wheels are great, but often start at 60mm, which is a little big for the average modern dealie without breaking out the huge risers and getting that "monster truck" look (and weight). More companies are making softer, lighter, smaller wheels for modern setups, though, like Krooked has some soft wheels now, too. I may try those next time, but so far I am sticking with these.

Pros: smooth, silent, speedy, floaty ride, relatively light, relatively small (54mm and 58mm sizes)

Cons: tricks are harder to land, wear out quickly

Now ive always skated hard wheels, usually 58mm, i bought these soft 54mm wheels and they are amazing, there the fastest wheels ive ever skated, makes me a little afraid when bombing hills now, but there sooooooo quite i can hear my self think now while skating these terrible NY roads, and they go over everything and i love the speed on flat ground, one push gets you so far, im thinkin bout getting these wheels in 58mm, then they should be perfect!!!
