This swing is awesome, I originally was looking for the Hearthsong Platform swing but came across the Web Riderz here on Amazon.
The Web Riderz had a higher weight rating and a lower price so it was a no-brainer.
I received and installed the Web Riderz from a branch approximately 35 feet up.
The swing is great fun and everyone can ride it from my 6 month old all alone to a 70 year old grandparent holding multiple grand-kids and everyone in between. We've put about 300 pounds of weight on it and pushed as high as it can go.
My second Web Riderz is installed even higher from a 60 foot branch and is pretty much more fun than many rides you would pay to go on.
In my conversations with M & M regarding the counterfeit swing I learned a couple things that address issues raised in earlier reviews.
- Unsafe connections at the bottom of the swing where rope is threaded back through itself instead of a knot. This is intentional so the customer can easily adjust the height of the swing which is frequently required if putting on a swing-set. They told me that the manual has been updated to tell the user to knot the ropes
- Swing going crooked (out of level) - This is a known issue that they are working to resolve and will be fixing in the future. For those of us who already have a swing with the issue they recommend finding some kind of a clamp to keep the ropes from slipping on each other.
I may try the zip-tie solution mentioned in another review or possibly just put some black tape around them to prevent them from sliding. I was impressed that they owned up to the issue and are working to resolve it.
I purchased two of these swings two weeks apart. The second swing arrived and it was packaged differently and overall had some changes and less robust construction.
Fearing that the manufacturer had reduced the quality of the product I reached out to them directly. I was surprised when they got back to me and told me that I had received a "direct from China" impostor item.
Please make sure you receive the authentic Web Riderz swing and not one of the knock offs.
How can you tell?
The authentic Web Riderz:
-Comes in a cardboard box with a full color label, see attached picture.
-Has ropes that pass through plastic grommets in the swing.
-Is heavier duty
-Has a user manual
The knock off counterfeit swing:
-Comes wrapped in a woven plastic type material
-Has ropes tied around the frame and heat shrink wrapped
-Is lighter duty
Both Amazon and the Manufacturer M & M Sales have satisfactorily resolved the knock off issue and I thank them for that.
One last note is that I purchased both from Amazon with Prime and both times the item had an exception and did not arrive on time.
We have spun around continuously and the kids have been reluctant to stop. x`
However there is a critical bit of info that you need to know before purchasing.
We accidentally discovered that the knotting style for the swing base is potentially (perhaps even likely) unsafe.
While assembling the swing it actually came unloose! Thankfully this was not while in motion with a child on it. I then discovered that the rope design was a "pull-through" loop that was not secure. Each of the 3 rope ends almost immediately were dislodged when I tested them.
So I resecured each of them in a climbing Figure 8 knot.

I also used Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate Carabiners for hanging, as they are wide capacity and lock securely.
I did buy the suggested hanging rope for extension (Wood Tree Swings Sixty Inch Tree Swing Hanging kit,) but I plan to buy another one, as that one will likely fray with the intense spinning that our children do.
Be aware that it is recommended to be hung 3 meters away from a tree (or side area,) and is to stand one meter up when load-bearing.
I would definitely buy it again, but I wish I had known all of the above information when going into the purchase.
