These cutters cut through my 1/2" ID 3/4" OD Primochill tubing like butter when I was setting up my watercooling loop in my computer. With that particular tubing size, regular scissors simply would not give an all the way through, straight, clean cut. On the other hand, these cutters effortlessly cuts a straight and clean cut every time. Highly recommended for the watercooler out there.

Although I have not tried, I do not see these cutters as being very able to cut PVC or other hard pipes. These are more for tubing and softer plastic. So for my uses, it works great.

These are my favorite pipe cutters to use for installing irrigation systems. It will cut drip, funny pipe, and Class 1120 pipe up to 1" very easily. It will not cut very easily thru Sch 40 pipe unless it is 1/2" or smaller.

These are light weight and very easy to operate. The tailpiece clip ring holds the handles securely together to keep it closed and at the same time is fast and easy to open. The compact size makes it great to store in a pants pocket or bucket to carry around with you as you work. The blade is very sharp. I also use it to slit and remove tubing that is stuck on a hose barb as it is as sharp as a utility knife blade. They rinse off easily under running water and do not rust.

5 star rating. They are a little pricey on Amazon at nearly $20 but they do last for quite a while and you can sharpen the blade. After the blade won't sharpen very well anymore I usually just purchase a new pair as the handles are usually showing wear by then. But if you break a blade or need a new one for some reason they do sell a replacement blade Ridgid 26803 PC-1250 Replacement Blade. Hope this review helps.

Cheaply made but they worked well for my intended purpose. If you just need something to cut heavy plastic tubing or similar material for one or two small home projects, then they are a good choice and the price is right, but if you want a good solid tool to use more often, I would not buy these. Also there are no additional blades included nor information on how to obtain them so next time I will have to go on the hunt for new blades.

seems to be good. I have been cutting 1/2 and 3/4 inch pvc sch 40 with it and it works pretty good. Sad to say you can buy the entire tool cheaper than you can replacement blades but that is why I bought it. It feels sturdy when using it. I would recommend it to others. Hmm - I see the little handle lock in the photo here and I do not recall that on mine but I have been so busy with it I probably did not notice. I can cut through both sizes of pipe just squeezing very hard - I do not have to saw back and forth with it to get through the pipe wall. I am 5'4 130 lb older female if that information might help someone know if this tool is for them or not

.. and takes a little concerted effort, but time will tell if it holds up. I actually called Ridgid to get their suggested PVC cutter which would give me a clean and even cut and this was it for this specific pipe (which is likely all I will ever use it for). It does give a clean cut but just seems weak and takes a bit too much effort for the task, but I just take it easy and relatively slow. I previously used an Apollo ratcheting pipe cutter which worked much more quick and effortless, but the Apollo would not cut even and left burrs .. the Ridgid does not. Danny

These things are very handy for other uses besides plastic pipe. For one, whenever a garden hose is damaged, you can make quick and easy straight cuts to prepare a hose for mending. I use 3/4 inch heavy duty hoses that are hard to get clean cuts with a razor or Exacto blade, This tool works great.

Easily cuts through 3/4 and 1/2 PEX like butter. Very smooth and easy. Only problem is that it's sometimes hard to get a nice even cut. Would be better if it had a tighter tolerence guide to hold the blade true. Got the job done well enough for a whole house copper replacement.

I used this tool to cut custom lengths of very thick brew tubing. It worked perfectly. Just like using scissors. Was easy to slice through thick 1/2" ID (7/8" OD) food-grade tubing without much effort at all.
