I started skating 6 months ago and had no idea what style skating I was interested in. The skates I bought at the time were great for outdoor street skating, but when I progressed to more footwork and dabbling in "rhythm" and "artistic" style moves, I felt like those skates lacked the support I needed. I tried these Riedell Citizen skates as an experiment, and so far that has really paid off - I notice the boot transferring energy much more efficiently to the wheels and I can work on more intricate maneuvers. I did remove the toe-stop and change the wheels to a much harder 101A wheel for the wooden floor I practice on.

I have very sensitive feet that get blisters in even normal shoes. I was pleasantly surprised that these skates broke-in in just a few sessions for me.

I normally wear a women's 8.5 shoe and the Men's size 7 in these skates fit me perfectly - snug as they should be.

These skates are wonderful! I loved to skate at the skating rink growing up and always thought it would be so great to skate outdoors. I tried inline skates years ago but the only way I could stop was to throw myself to the side! lol The back stops on them didn't feel natural for me. I wanted another way to mix up exercising and just have fun so I gave these a try and I am so happy I did. They roll so smoothly outside on the concrete trails down by the river. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 typically and got an 8 in the skates and they are perfect. I have plenty of room to wear thick socks to protect against blisters. I thought initially I might get blisters since they were new and needed to be 'broken in' but this was not the case at all. They were so comfortable and did not hurt me anywhere! I am almost 50 and it was like I had been skating everyday since middle school! All the people out walking/running wanted to know where I got them and were all smiles seeing my happy, old self skating by =)

these run more true to your sneaker size than the size you would get at skating rink. i have a pair of the tennis shoe skates that are a mens size 7. my converse tennis shoes are mens size 7 but the size here on these skates run small a size small so you need to go up a size.
my regular tennis shoes are size 9...... i can in some shoes fit 8 1/2...... i hope this helps the next person that plans to buy.

Skated for the first time in years with my 4 year old and had a blast. My friend ordered a different brand , much cheaper and could only get around a few times as they were rubbing and hurting. Don't skimp with a cheaper pair. These are great. Had quite. A few compliments as well.

I LOVE MY SKATES! These are great. Good quality and well made. I haven't skated in over 20 years. I put them on and it was like I never missed a beat. The wheels are smooth on concrete sidewalks at the local park. I bought an 8 even though I wear a 7.5 shoe. I wanted a little extra room for insoles or 2 pairs of socks. They fit good without being too snug. So far they have gone 9 miles and the fastest speed was 10.5mph in the last 3 days.

These are pretty decent skates. I didn't like the pink wheels so I threw my old, slightly wider wheels on these. They're pretty stiff but I'm sure they'll get more comfortable with wear. The stopper is a little low compared to my old skates too. I'll have to get used to these. I'm a size 8 1/2 and ordered the size 8...perfect fit.
