The choice that should be done are not always done and not so obvious .
Kylie Jensen came home to a mess she did not expect to find she, her drugged out brother came begging for help, thanking her stars she managed to turn him away. However the next day while she was gone her brother broke into her house, not only did he steal some of her things, messed them all up tearing her place to bits but he also left a stash of trouble in her room.
Detective Brian Cox and Kent Jensen were at one time friends when they were both in high school, but life led them on different paths. Brian's protective instincts reared high when he was called to investigate the break in at Kylie's house. Kylie is having a hard time trusting him because of his friendship with her brother, will they manage to come through this miss and explore the chemistry that is there.?
What do you do when you brother breaks into your house? In this case Kylie calls the police. But she isn't sure when Brian and Marissa show up. Brian was Kent's (her brother) best friend in high school. But it has been a lot of years. And her older brother crush is now standing in her house. What to do... what to do!
Favorite passage: You put yourself through school , made yourself a career, bought a house. Age becomes a number once you manage to do certain things for yourself.
I do wish it was a bit longer because it felt like it was missing background into the characters and the build up of their relationship. That is normally my favorite parts of Brandy's stories. I love falling in love with the characters and watching them fall in love with each other. The pace of this book was just much faster than what I am used to from her.
It does make a great lunch break read though, quick, hot, and direct to the point.
