She pulls into her mountain cabin and it is all it was advertised to be. She goes in and looks around, it is wonderful. Then she hears a car door slam and she runs back to make sure her truck is ok. it is just a neighbor. She starts to stare at his butt while he rummages around in his truck getting out groceries. She hides behind her truck and watches his every move commenting to herself on his gorgeous behind, etc. until he goes into the house and shuts the door.
He invites her over for dinner and she is considering having him for dinner with his body, etc. Ok, you get the picture. Then she goes home, gets ready for bed in her white tank top, sans bra and skimpy shorts. Then a knock at the door and it is HIM. It is cold outside so the visual in the white tank shirt is a bit more as her "girls" perk up to greet him. He almost swallows his tongue. She laughs, MEN ARE SO PREDICTABLE!! Now this gal has been doing everything but making him an offer and she thinks MEN are predictable. It goes on like this, as she is lusting after his hot body and what all she can do to it - but no, she is on a break from men. OK, way too much for me. It may be humorous to some and good for them. i didn't find it so and I found her annoying. I don't think she had a single thought that didn't include having sex with the guy next door. Just too much too soon for me. I did quit reading. I didn't care for her and that sort of ruined the story for me. I'm not sure I want the hero to get stuck with this chick.
The hero seems like a nice guy. He is alone, a writer that wants to do a guide book on the Smokey Mountains. He cooks! That gives him a lot of points in my book. We didn't get what was going on in his head but from his actions he seemed to be able to control himself. I would have liked a nicer heroine. Oh, I doubt seriously she ever wrote a word in a book. Too scattered. I'm sure a lot will enjoy this book so I don't want to discourage anyone from reading it. It just wasn't for me.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 1/20/18
Stephanie is a spunky good time girl who likes to flirt & have a good time. She's not looking for love which makes her even more interesting. She sees the hot guy staying in the cabin across the street & meets her match. The pace of this story was perfect. Loved the characters. It was such a fun read. I highly recommend this book.
