Slightly entertaining and but overall a goofy plot line. I'm a fan of Ryan Kwanten so I took a chance. He was good, the female lead was mediocre (hey, she didn't have much to work with in regards to the script) and the supporting cast (her husband and his friends) were terrible (again, probably the script they had to work with). If I had it to do over, I would not have wasted my money.

“ Beautiful things that seem impossible happen everyday” is the main message in the movie The Right Kind of Wrong directed by Jeremiah Chechik. Which is a romantic comedy movie with a cliché Disney fairytale feel at times. Starts out plain and a little dry, but in the end it grows into this captivating and comedic drama that leaves you wanting more. Throwing in some sexual immaturity and sarcastic lines along the way.
This film tells the life of Leo (Ryan Kwanten); a failed writer whose ex-wife writes a book about how much of a loser he is. He meets a woman, Colette (Sara Canning) on her wedding day, winning his heart by simply punting a football back to nearby kids that were playing with it. Throughout the movie the two develop an unlikely relationship. It is a little twisted because in reality the main character is trying to grab the attention of a woman that was just married, making yourself feel strange rooting for a guy that is breaking a newly married couple apart.
Filmed in Alberta, Canada makes for a beautiful plot with all of the gorgeous mountaintops and the rolling hills of green. At times the view is too beautiful making it look fake, because the surroundings look like something from either a picture or a painting. Going along with the nature, the wildlife also doesn’t seem real. The ghost bear, being a rare sight that also symbolizes the message of this movie, was animated so it didn’t come close to looking real.
For the most part the characters were well played. The main character Leo was very likeable and easy to relate to, but he looked off putting because he has greasy hair. Ryan Kwanten did a great job playing him, with his charming smile and his innocent meander.

The Right Kind of Wrong is a romantic comedy which perseverance over failed ventures and personal flaws can enlighten how you see yourself. It’s a movie that can get you to laugh and to really look at your own flaws. Even though it a movie about a man perusing a married woman, it is also a movie as the title states “The Right Kind of Wrong” which I see as, the person you might be with, might not be the right person for you. I enjoyed watching this movie it was a delight.

Rented this movie and now want to own it.

It definitely has more of a Canadian than American sense of humor, but that's what makes it so great. The characters feel like real people who make real mistakes. Sure, there are some "movie" moments like the camp kids seeing more than they should, but you can't help but hope that the guy gets the girl.

I think the thing that I loved the most is that the guy and girl don't just miraculously fix all of their problems. Each of them has to work on themselves and grow before they can find happiness.

This is somewhere between coming of age, star-crossed lovers and dude flick, if there is such a thing. More of a buddy film than a chick flick with the stronger, sometimes raunchy sense of humor, but enough romance and character growth for the women to enjoy it too. Just not memorable enough to call it a must-see.

I've watched it twice and I am still not sure if I liked it or not. The story was good and the actors played their part well but something was just missing. Nothing major but just a little bit of something.

as you can see from the other reviews, some people liked this; others didn't. this kept me from watching this movie for quite a while but i'm glad i eventually did. at first i couldn't decide whether or not i liked this movie but in the end i decided it was different enough from other rom-coms to be enjoyable. it was worth watching. the acting was great. the male lead seemed familiar and i recognized the bride's mother, of course, but i did not know any of the other actors. apparently, they have experience. i was pleasantly surprised.
