This is a well made product and a great idea. But the door frame on a Wrangler isn't compatible with this step as outlined in the instruction sheet. They should add that information to the description so others don't have to deal with a return like I had to.

It is actually a high compliment about how much I love this product that it has 4 stars. However, the rubber piece at the back of it fell off too easily, I reattached it and it fell off again without noticing and then used it and it really scratched up my paint job. In normal circumstances I'd completely bash the product for such an infraction but it really is useful, I wish they would attach the rubber backer better tho Now I need to buy some touch up paint.

Me pareció un excelente producto hasta que me di cuenta que sólo funciona en las puertas delanteras de mi vehículo ya que el pestillo está instalado en el poste de la carrocería. En las puertas traseras es imposible colocarlo ya que el pestillo está sobre la carrocería y al solo ponerlo y recargarte un poco en él, de inmediato ves cómo se comienza a deformar la lámina que sostiene al pestillo. Si se fijan en las fotos, sólo están colocados en las puertas delanteras, en ninguna trasera. Y yo lo necesitaba en la trasera por el largo de mi vehículo (Pathfinder). No sé si haya puertas traseras en las que funcione pero preferí no experimentar y sufrir un daño en mi vehículo así que terminé por devolverlo.

Of the three steps I ordered from Amazon to test, this one is the best. Longer platform length means you can get both feet on. Longer hook stem makes it sit a little lower than most but the platform rests horizontally when installed on a vertical door frame, not slope downward like the others. The width of the hook makes for a wider contact area between the hook and door latch, adding further stability to the step. The silicon/rubber padding on the heel of the step protects the car paint and further prevents shifting under foot. Not like the other steps that came with cheap adhesive foam weather stripping. This step doesn't fold like the others but the sturdiness of a one-piece design is much appreciated when standing on it. The others felt flimsy, did not inspire confidence. Store it with the spare tire, no problem. Not a fan of the orange finish though, I wish it came in black. Unlike the product photos of the other steps tested, this step is right in line with what is pictured, both in form and in function.

I like the product and will use. That being said, I weigh about 220 lbs (clothed) and I do see a strain on the door pillar when I use. It does not appear to damage my 2017 Tacoma and we shall see how the truck fares with continued use. The “slam latch” where the Moki attachment fits is quite high on the door of the Tacoma and when I stand on the Moki, my belt line is above the edge of the roof. This is higher than I need, but that is OK as I am able to reach almost any spot on the roof of the crew cab. Should help when I tie down my canoes.

We've only tested it as far as getting up on it. Normally it would be used to load bikes etc., but we haven't done that yet. It's very easy to click into place and feels very sturdy. I can stand with 2 feet it (average size female) and feel very secure. We used to carry a stool around with us but don't need that now. Once we put it into actual use, we'll see if we need 2. Works well on both front and back doors. We've been telling our SUV owner friends about it.
