About the Author
Carel Pieter Brest van Kempen has spent brief periods living in many places, but he's never felt compelled to move his stereo out of Salt Lake County, Utah, where he was born and raised. A self-taught artist, he has painted full time since 1989. He is a member of the Society of Animal Artists, and was recipient of their highest honor the Award of Excellence, in 1994, 1996, 1997, and 2004.
Carel presently lives with his concience in Salt Lake City.
