Crappy paper, poor reproductions
on June 6, 2012
This book is not of the quality one would expect from a commercially edited and printed product. Specific problems:
- Some of the pages are printed on toilet quality paper - thin and prone to color bleeding. Not all the pages are like that - some are good, thick stock, but at least half of the reproductions are on some sort of wafer thin non photo quality paper.
- Some of the reproductions are clearly pixelated, as if someone just grabbed the images from the internet. They are so bad that it makes me think there was no editing done on this book.
I would be ashamed to have this on my coffee table, although I love Rineke Dijkstra's work. Very disappointed.
