Review ;)

An emotional roller coaster that was fast paced , filled with murder, suspense, lies, and romance. I really enjoyed this mysterious storyline, the plot smoothly flowed from one chapter to the next, and the end finalized swiftly but efficiently to give the reader a well delivered finale to a susspensful read. Romance was present not the main factor in the read but I felt this was evenly distributed to give us those elements we look forward in any suspenseful romance thriller.

Anyone else tired of horrendously naive heroines who refuse to follow the lead or advice of professionals? Grace constantly whimpers, whines, and makes excuses for the criminals she loves. It was a relief to finish this book.

I like very much romantic suspense. This is the first book I read from this author. I find this book is missing something. The plot is very good, but the heroine is bordering stupid and the male character is lacking passion. It's a good read, but not a keeper. It also has many editing mistakes. I think it could have been sooooo much better.

First off, this story was pretty good. I love a good mystery, especially with a little love story thrown in. HOWEVER, I thought the editor did a very sloppy job with this edition. Tons of typos. But the thing that bugged me the most throughout the entire story is this: I realize that Brits spell words differently and have different phrases that Americans do. And that's completely fine. What I can't stand is when an AMERICAN character in a book says things that are clearly British sayings. And the worst was the Cuban character, Rosa, who had a lot of British colloquialisms. Every time I read one of the "isms" it made me realize I was reading a story, a figment of someone's imagination. Very hard to get lost in a storyline when that happens a lot.

I was looking for a fictional escape for a weekend and to that end, this book filled the bill. I will probably also watch it when it's a "Lifetime Movie" because that's how it reads. The story moves along well and has a few distinctly non-American descriptions or observations of Florida--not too distracting but they did stop momentum briefly. There was a certain amount of predictability as the plot rolled out but again, this was an entertaining read. I didn't get attached to the characters like I do in my favorite books but if you're seeking escapist literature, this one works.

I enjoyed this book as it held my interest. Grace Elliot finds out after her husband's death she never really knew him and her life is put in danger. She asks a friend to help her, she met Jack West when he was stationed in England and the attraction is still there. They dodge bullets and its a race to find out who wants her dead. A very good read.

Wow- this book sets the hook! British widow finds out her husband wasn't who he said he was when she inherits a lot of money and a big house in Boca Grande FL. Bogus identities, double live, hot FBI agent and intertwining stories make this a really good read! I usually can guess who dunit after a few pages but this one kept me in suspense almost to the end! Really entertaining good read!

Three stars for plot line.
No stars for proofreading failures and punctuation oddities
No stars for using British vernacular in dialogue of American characters
Needed to be polished up before publication.
