That's not the case - this book is pictorial, with a tiny bit of text; only 5-10% of the 128 pages contains any written history.
The pictures are all of good quality, some even excellent, and it's a great find for someone whose family is displayed.
I've lived in the Sacramento area for over 65 years - 44 of those in Rio Linda - yet I only recognized a half-a-dozen or so of the old-time names mentioned; I only personally am familiar with five people in the pictures.
I'm not just interested in the beginning of Rio Linda, but also in how the town has built up in the years since 1922. This book only mentioned a couple of items in the 1940's and 1950's. I'm sure it would also be of more interest to a greater amount of readers if several more pictures and much more history since 1922 was also included.
Rio Linda's a great place to live, and the expansive growth should be included in it's history. I feel we were kind of short-changed here (Sorry Joyce) even with the great pictures - unless there's to be a sequel.
