No, this controller is a brush motor.

Why are fuses easily blown?

Because it is only 30A, too much current will lead to fuse damage.
Can this adjust the voltage?

Complicated operation. This is a speed controller, if you want to measure the output voltage of the controller, please connect the motor at the output end and then test the output voltage at both ends.

I use this controller to vary water flow in my 2000 GPH system driving a trommel and Gold Cube. I can tune the flow so it runs fast enough to move 4 tons of sand per 8 hour day through the system without driving retained gold off the end of the system. Also means lower pressure and less pump wear and water consumption. For $15 to control $1500 worth of gear this was a no brainer. Highly recommended!

This is the 2nd switch I've installed (2 different projects). On this one the line in fuse blew and when I replaced the line in fuse the switch didn't work. I had posted a question about if I should return the switch. There didn't seem a likely reason that it shouldn't work but then it got me thinking that there might be a fuse inside the switch as well. As you can sort of see in the pictures above but more obviously see it described in the title (30a) there is a mini-fuse. I'm going to replace that and hopefully it will return to proper function.

I do my lawn care and my sons and I do a few friends' lawns. I needed something to regulate the GPM my sprayer distributed. The pressure regulator does not slow down the flow enough to spray prodiamine effectively so I got this device and hooked it up. This device slowed down my 5.5 gpm pump to one gpm. I needed a little more than that of course but for prodiamine, you want to get large droplets into the soil for best results at the recommended rate. Exactly what I needed. Now I can spray my fertilizer, weed treatment, and pre-emergent, all with the same setup. Just set the correct pressure to get the flow I need, choose my spray tip, make sure my 12v battery is charged, and off I go. I have over 20k of lawn to spray so the little back sprayer is too much of a hassle. I use a 26 gal sprayer setup with a 50ft hose. I add 21 gal of solution in the tank and it's done in 35-40 min. Awesome product.

I’m on the second unit. First one did nothing, I suspect I got a previously returned unit, since it came with no packaging or documentation from the manufacturer. Second one looked new and had an instruction leaflet. This one turns on and can power my motor. Problem is, I can’t regulate speed. 19V input and it’s either full voltage or as low as 17.9V. There are literally thousands of good reviews on this unit. If the third one is bad, then I assume their quality has dropped. 1 star…. Lousy product, and lousy documentation btw….very poor translation.

I am on my third motor controller across different brands. It seems that the fuses provided are slow-blow, and the motor controller will fry out if topped out with a 20v 2aH battery. I recommend sizing down the fuses to protect the motor controller.

I needed a speed controller for a 12V 10" fan used for ventilation. At high speed, the fan was simply too loud. The controller was clearly marked, and I used uninsulated crimp connectors and heat shrink to connect. Once, connected, I was able to vary the speed from slow/silent to fast/loud. The amp draw ranged from around 6 amps on high to about 2 amps on low, so it is clear that it is not simply a fancy potentiometer. Very pleased with the unit, and it is well-made.
