Feel foggy-headed after you’ve eaten?
Struggle with exercise?
The modern world has changed the way people eat, move, sleep, and think. Advances in science and medicine have camouf?laged the negative effects of a poor diet, a sedentary lifestyle, and a lack of sleep, helping us ignore how our bodies are designed and the powerful relationships between diet, exercise, sleep, and mental health.
With tremendous insight into the physiology of the human body, The Ripple Effect exposes exercise and diet myths and helps you kick-start a health and performance transformation. From optimizing your last hour before bed to maximizing your natural sleep cycle, Dr. Greg Wells outlines the simple keys to
sleeping more soundly and waking up refreshed, and shows how you can fuel better whether you’re a busy mom or a high-performance athlete. The Ripple Effect also includes ways you can exercise more effectively and painlessly, ward off illness, and think more clearly.
Good health can be as natural as breathing. We must all eat, move, sleep, and think. If we do them well, we are capable of extraordinary things.

I believe The Ripple Effect would have benefitted from a rigorous pruning by an additional editor; yet the book nonetheless deserves a five-star rating for a simple reason: It's one of the soundest and well-researched holistic books I've ever come across about practical changes anyone can make to improve their health, performance, sleep, and even mental state through well-informed, do-able changes toward (a) modest, regular exercise; (b) eating more of what's good for us and less of what's not (which Dr. Wells makes very clear), and (c) getting enough rest.
I give give away most books once I've read them. But this one will find permanent residency on my limited-space bookshelf. It's a keeper — a book that motivates and inspires to a lighter, more healthful and effective body and life.
This book focuses on the linkages between the four elements of sleeping, eating, moving and thinking. It explains how, by making a change to one element, this leads to a ripple effect on the others. While this is not a new concept to me, the way Dr Wells explains the linkages allowed me to see the importance of putting what he was writing about into action to help deliver the results I was after.
I know that for me this book has already helped me to make better choices. By making small changes, there has been less resistance and because the changes have made me feel better I want to keep doing them.
So unless you are the perfect sleeper, are your ideal weight, are getting enough exercise and are brilliant as well, then I would recommend that you buy this book, read it as soon as you possible and start making those small changes. You deserve the best life you can. This book will help you get there.
This book takes the idea that we can make significant improvements in our lives by getting the proper things in our lives working together.
The Ripple Effect tells us how to get our lives working better by making small improvements (1%). We are told how proper diet, exercise, breathing, and thought patterns all work together to improve our lives.
This book works very well as a companion to Eat Wheat. Many of the foods suggested in The Ripple Effect are suggested in Eat Wheat. The two books work very well together.
We give The Ripple Effect all five stars. It is entertaining, informative, educational, and eye-opening.
If you are looking to improve your health (physical, mental, or both), The Ripple Effect can help you with that.
