The Rise of the New Normal Reich: Consent Factory Essays, Vol. III (2020-2021) Paperback – May 4, 2022
Purchase options and add-ons
In this third volume of his Consent Factory Essays, C. J. Hopkins presents an unofficial history of the roll-out of the "New Normal" during the 2020-2021 Covid-19 pandemic, and an analysis of this new, pathologized-totalitarian ideology that has radically transformed societies around the world.
From the proclamation of the "New Normal" and the initial propaganda blitzkrieg in March of 2020, and on through the global lockdowns, the suspension of constitutional rights, the mask mandates, the social distancing, the censorship, the segregation and persecution of "the Unvaccinated," and, finally, the collapse of the official Covid narrative at the end of 2021, the essays in this volume comprise an "as-it-happened" record of how insane and totalitarian things got, and puts the madness into context. "No other prophet has described the strategies or predicted the perils of the emerging totalitarianism with such persistence and eloquence." (Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.)
Featuring popular essays like The Covidian Cult, The "Unvaccinated" Question, The Criminalization of Dissent, Manufacturing New Normal "Reality," and a new introductory essay exploring the question of how nominally democratic societies around the world could be so suddenly and easily transformed into pathologized-totalitarian police states, the essays in this collection present "[a] searing (and therefore satisfying) chronicle of life in, and against, the locked-down, masked-up, triple-vaxxed madhouse of New Normal insanity." (Max Blumenthal)
"[Hopkins] was one of the only people in English willing to do [that], and he did it with his trademark wit and bravado. He'll be remembered as a signature chronicler of the 'New Normal.'" (Matt Taibbi)

- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2023The sarcastic humor is applied with grace and acumen to a situation that could only be seen correctly through the author's perception. Keenly aware at the time of the societies sacrifice of liberties for it's safety, Hopkins calls out to the hapless hordes to reveal their tyranny and hypocrisy in grand fashion. I got more than a good tickle and chuckle from this expose. I even bought more to give away to others, whom have also expressed their satisfaction with this book. It is an accurate history, recorded by a satirist. As all history should be.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2023An absolute must-read! Funny and infuriating at the same time, these essays succinctly describe with incredible wit, humor and intelligence how ridiculous the Covid response nonsense was. This guy is one of the best writers of all time, so happy to have stumbled upon him. My whole family is in love with his analysis of current events, and the people I show "Rise of the New Normal Reich" and "The War on Populism" to are immediately entranced by his insights. The world makes so much more sense when you read a guy like C.J. Hopkins. If you like political/financial analysis, buy both "War on Populism" and "Rise of the New Normal Reich." I'm going to buy all of Hopkins' books, he is absolutely brilliant, he should win the Nobel Prize in Literature as far as I'm concerned.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2022C.J. Hopkins essays are incredible, and if you're the kind of person who is looking into this book it's going to be everything you hope it is.
We get normalized to this new life and chaos that's been forced on us, but when you read this book it takes to back to 2020 and you remember how awful it was then, and how awful it is now, still. And yet -- it's not a heavy read. The chapters are short and relatable. There is humor at times, and the hope comes from knowing there are other people who see things like we do, even if life feels a bit like invasion of the body snatchers where most people have joined a strange cult.
It's a great book. Read it. Enjoy it. Learn from it. And then hold onto it as a bit of real history that will never be captured in history books.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2023SUCH a good book. Easy to read in short, digestable chapters. Especially meaningful for those of us who were skeptical of the lockdowns, closures and mandates incrementally rolled out through the pandemic.
With hindsight, it's easier now to see how the official narrative was fabricated NOW, but what's amazing is that CJ Hopkins was writing these essays in real time - as it was happening. The books is laid out in chronological order and is basically a collection of his writings as he lived through what many of us see as being one of the worst times in US history.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2024How embarrassing for most of the world's medical experts and intellectuals. They all played a part in this fraud and the death and damage done by this is yet to be measured.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2023This is a collection of essays that the author wrote during the Covid plandemic. He was able to step back and get the big picture instead of blindly swallowing the official propaganda. Read it so you will be ready for the next one. Or you can choose to be motivated by fear into compliance with the official narrative.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2022C.J. Hopkins has been ahead of the curve from the beginning in analyzing everything from Russiagate to covid. Although I read these essays on his website when they first came out, I just finished reading them a second time in the form of this book. They have proved to be rather disturbingly prophetic and are an important contribution to understanding our current societal madness.

GavinReviewed in Canada on June 27, 20225.0 out of 5 stars A Brutally Honest Look In The Mirror
This book offers a concise and ruthlessly honest analysis of the overt degeneration of our global civilization into varying degrees of a new kind of totalitarianism (relative to geography) which have taken place over the past 2 years. Some of the more important points covered in the book include explorations into the parallels between the emergence of totalitarian empires of the 20th century (such as the rise of fascism in Germany) and what has taken place globally recently, as well as insights into the relevance of the Milgram Experiments in illuminating the psychological dynamics behind what we have witnessed in the masses of late and also offering vivid comparisons between cult dynamics and the behavior we have observed in a great many in the past 2 years.
The series of essays contained within its pages forces to reader to take an honest look in the mirror and rigorously assess whether or not one's choices during the scamdemic have amounted to the choices of someone in Germany in the late 30-s that bought the propaganda, turned on their neighbors, family and humanity and chose to tow the line of a fascist ideology being promoted by a small group of mentally unstable criminals.
This book begs us to ask the question: When the crushing hammer of a new form of fascism (a type of bio-security police state, which is in essence a technocratic version of fascism pushed forward by plutocrats) was rolled out with a blitzkrieg of state sponsored propaganda.. did I fold under the pressure and align myself with the herd mentality the above described criminals sought to propagate? Or did I remain true to what was in my heart?
Put in other words, this book invites us to ponder the following: "Did I choose obedience in the face of edicts being passed down by the puppets of hardened repeat felon criminal offenders and career profiteers under the threat of coercion, systemic abuse and institutionalized bullying? Or, did I dig deep to find the grace to honor my intuition, my integrity and my love for all that is innately free and beautiful within me despite the prevalent onslaught of propaganda, those close to me turning on me having been brainwashed and the weapons of a economic war being waged upon myself and all those that refused to conform to this new kind of fascism?
The chronicles in this book's pages beg that we ask the question: When the chips were down, the bullies were emboldened and the temptations were great, did we chose fear, or Love?
The mirror this book offers to both the individual (and our society as a whole) is a powerful kind of medicine which is desperately needed at this critical fork in the road for our family of Humanity.
I will be keeping an extra copy for Posterity. I think this book is worth preserving for I am observing how the dominant institutions currently steering our industrial civilization are attempting to distort and re-write history in a very 1984-esk manner. There are those that have been working to change definitions, censor pivotal events online and silence the victims of this slow motion genocide. These interests seek to obscure the criminality and immoral nature of the actions perpetrated by those that actively sought (and are seeking to) permanently establish what CJ Hopkins calls the "New Normal Reich".
All that being said, this book does however (in my opinion) leave much to be desired in the realm of solutions to the challenges posed to us by the emergence of this "New Normal Reich". It does offer some elucidation on the relevance of engaging in forms of peaceful disobedience (in the form of what some call the way of Satyagraha) but in my opinion, this form of resistance to tyranny (by itself) is not enough.
Despite this lack of actionable/practical solutions, I would still suggest getting a copy and reading it for yourself. Knowing one is has a serious life threatening (but elusive) medical condition (without being offered a cure up front) is still valuable and helpful information for it invokes one to seek out pathways to healing. Refusing to receive a diagnosis because one is afraid of the potentially challenging path to healing is a choice that does not respect the gift of life we have been given by Creator.
There is honor in being courageous enough to take a long hard look at the worst our family of Humanity has to offer (so we can be in a position to instead choose a different path). Cj Hopkins has a real knack for this. Only through clearly assessing the wounds we have allowed to be inflicted on our human family, our civilization and our collective consciousness can we effectively formulate a remedy and begin a path to healing.
May the scars on the soul of Humanity that are illuminated in the pages of this book serve as a map so that we may trial blaze a path ahead with a new found sense of compassion, love, courage, humility, integrity, determination and the clarity of perception to know where we never want to venture again. May our willingness to take on honest look in the mirror empower us to become our best selves in the days, months and years ahead.

This is a pleasingly cogent timeline of the 2020-2021 period of covidScam from a victim's perspective, with every important fact supported by reference, citation and context notes. It is a very important contribution to the "unravelling" and, hopefully, the future prosecution of covid criminals who inflicted so much grief and loss on the World.

Susan Marie ProsReviewed in France on May 14, 20225.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant book
I discovered CJ Hopkins during the first lockdown. His articles are a poignant analysis of the totalitarian nightmare that transformed western democratic citizens into cult followers. The grotesque theatre of the medical masks, the ridiculous rules, the censorship, the horrible vaccine mandates. Global Capitalism didn't appreciate the populist movements ( Brexit, Trump, Yellow Vests). We were all told to shut up and get in line, start obeying senseless orders blindly and trust The Science, while they censored all scientists deviating from official Global Capitalist narrative. CJ Hopkins brings lucidity, dark humour and above all else his deep humanity and articulates what we intuitively feel. This is a brilliantly written book by a brave critical thinker.
