I'm of two minds about this book. On one hand it would make a good first book since everything is explained simply. Too simply in most cases as the author never really goes into a lot of detail. But it would serve to acquaint the reader with terms and basic reasons behind prediabetes and what we need to do about it.
On the other hand it is a book I could write as it seems to rehash all the information read elsewhere served up in the author's prose. Some of the information was useless. Most of it was accurate. I learned a few things.
Take it as a primer knowing you have a lot more to learn and all will be OK.
If you really want to learn something thqat will help more than anything get Salt, Sugar, Fat: How The Food Giants Hooked Us by Michael Moss. It will inform you about our foods and help you make a much wiser decision about what to eat and that ties in directly with the diet part of diabetes prevention.
