I ordered these cables to connect to my Linksys E2000. The router lights were still blue indicating these cables did not support Gigabit Ethernet. I can only get transfer speeds of 10 MB/s. I switched with a cable my friend had, and when I replaced the cable, the router light turned green- showing Gigabit speed. Even though the cables were cheap, don't buy these cables if you are looking for Gigabit Ethernet speeds.

I'd like to start with the fact that the item was received in a timely manner. However, upon opening the package I realize that the cord is far from 10ft long. I live in a dorm at my college and the rooms are about 10ft and the cord barely makes it 3/4 of the way. Secondly, the ends get stuck in the wall and in my laptop very easily, making it hard to take my laptop anywhere. The internet connection is definitely better then that of the WiFi here at my school, but that is probably the best thing I have to say about this cord. It was cheap, so I can't complain too much, being a poor college student and all. But it would have been nice if what the add said it was going to be was actually true.

I received the cables quicker than I was expecting. Quality was great as well as the price. Worked out great for my router. Now my computer and xbox 360 are both online. Definitely would buy again thanks a lot.

We ordered 20 of these cables. They simply don't work. Something is wrong with them. We connected them to a $16,000 brand new Kyocera printer and the printer would not get a network connection (not even lights on the NIC) unless we wired a switch between the wall and the printer. Its like these network cables needed more power. We replaced the cable with another brand (same length and also CAT-5E) that didn't feel so slimy and flimsy? The printer works fine, gets lights, no issues without the switch in place.

Further, a high end custom server we have wouldn't get a network connection (only a "limited" connection) with these cables until we replaced them. Connected in new cables and the server is online fine and has been running for months.

I'm not sure if we got a bad batch or what, but I'm having to toss all of these cables out and buy from another company.

In an age when not only are people's heads in the cloud but so is their music, documents and photos. That requires the requisite equipment to tap into the Internet. Modems must be attached to routers to have a home network requiring a cable to ensure a constant signal. Often, though, although many supporting devices are capable of wirelessly connecting to a network, being hard wired wherever possible is almost always a better alternative. Printers, Xbox etc. are often finicky about playing nice with a wireless network. I purchased several of these cables for just that purpose. Cables aren't exciting or sexy, but they are expected to work and be durable. These cables seem to be well made, I am certain will last for years and were very reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

I had this cord for about 3 weeks and it worked perfectly until one of the plastic bits snapped off on it and it no longer would stay plugged into my computer. It's just super fragile and I didn't even move it around a lot.

I was setting 4 computers in a small office and needed some cat5 patch cables. The local store charges about $20 each. I order 5 of these for about the cost of one. They arrived fast and they worked. nuff said
