Note that this USB cable has mini-B connector. It can be very useful for tethering a digital camera to a computer, or connecting a portable electronics a bit farther away from your computer.
I have used it a couple of times now, and I'm pleased to report that I have had zero issues with it. The signal is fast, captures every time, and performs perfectly. It rolls nicely (because things like that are important to me) and I have found both plugs to fit firmly and securely.
Don't hesitate in ordering this cable if your need is a tethering cable.
I did notice that my controller was acting kind of odd after I plugged it in using this cable. When I would press the trigger on the right side, it would freeze up and keep vibrating until I unplgugged it. I never had this issue with my original PS3 cord. I'm still trying to determine whether this is something caused by this cord or if it's a software issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the emulator and the issue was still happening, so I turned down the vibration setting through the emulator and now it's working just fine. Maybe the movement caused it to freeze up? Just not sure why it started happening with this cord. In any case, problem seems to be resolved now.
Other than that, it's a USB 2.0 A to Mini-B 15 foot cable that works.
The price is excellent for the length. I would suggest every photographer that is shooting tethered use one of these longer cords so they stay out of the way.

The cable on this is quite a bit larger in diameter than typical USB cables. Would not work for the application I needed but it works well nonetheless.Published 2 months ago by Jeff M.
