About the author

Following careers in the US Air Force (1973-83), and as a clinical psychologist in private practice (1983-2006), I am now a Professor of Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. I am the author of Cult and Ritual Abuse: Its History, Anthropology, and Recent Discovery in Contemporary America (1995, 2000) which I wrote with my wife and life partner, Pamela Perskin Noblitt. We also collaborated in 2008 in producing Ritual Abuse in the 21st Century: Psychological, Forensic, Social and Political Considerations. Pam and I have also collaborated on several articles for professional journals and periodicals as well as on the production of two wonderful children who have subsequently provided us with 5 grandchildren.
We recently completed the third edition of Cult and Ritual Abuse: Evidence, Narratives, and Healing Approaches which is scheduled for publication on July 30, 2014 by Praeger.

C. Raschke provides a background on the False Memory Syndrome Foundation (FMSF) exposing their agenda. The False Memory Syndrome Foundation (FMSF) was founded by Dr. P. Freye and his wife. Freye's own daughter alledged Freye was responsible for incest against her. Two board members were acknowledged, proud, pedophiles. M. H. Katchen also privides background on the False Memory Syndrome Foundation(FMSF) founded by Freye and his wife.
Survivor, Jeanne Adams, tells of abuse by a cult that perverts the rites of the Catholic Church. Child victims are raped by Jesus Christ impersonators. Programming consists of abuse by impersonators of police officers, therapists, and other trusted people, various celebrities and even fictional characters to discredit accounts and undermine trust in those who could have been a resource. This is attested to in the accounts of other survivors and advocates presented in this compelation.
Rutz, Becker, Overkamp & Karriker Provide a survey of ritual abuse survivors revealing the common experience of programming by Nazi War Criminals Dr. Greenbaum, Mengele and others. The consistency of ritual abuse survivor testemony internationally is evidence of the existence of, and motivation for the underground criminal organization responsible.
Alison Miller is a source of information on why many survivors believe they have become possessed or have alters that behave like a dog. Miller treated a ritual abuse survivor who had a demon alter. Organized abusers often want alters to believe "they are anything other than an abused child". A demon alter is created by inflicting pain while the child is exposed to circumstances that lend the child to believe she is not human. The survivor Miller treated had been given a hallucinogenic drug while suggestions were made about demons. When the new alter appeared she was shown a "mirror" with a picture of a demon on it and told it was her. The elaborate staging of abuse is consistent. The kookier survivor accounts sound the easier it is to "debunk" their accounts. The more consistent their "kooky" acounts are, the harder. Miller provides the process for creating the alters intended to discredit survivors.
Sarah Nelson describes the tragic Orkney Satanic Abuse Case in which children who were describing horrific ritual abuse to their foster parents and social workers were sent back to their abusers in front of cheering crowds. The media had convinced the public that the parents and other "alleged" perpetrators were innocent. A court case was never even presented. The response of the children at being told they were to be returned to their parents is heart wrenching but the crowds never heard their side of the story. The media was the judge and jury, manipulated by "alleged" perpetrators.
If you are researching the subject of Ritual Abuse, this is an important resource.
The efforts & compassion of the mental health practitioners who treat this population is inspiring. The chapter on the Extreme Abuse Survey will touch you to your core. Every author's chapter will have an impact. I learned more than I ever thought I would from this book, and painful tho that was at times, it's a good thing, because there is hope that this kind of travesty, brought to the light of day, can be stopped. This book is another step in that direction. Powerful, convincing, hopeful, respectful, compassionate.
