Editorial Reviews

Each year, on the third weekend of November one of the most heated rivalries in sports writes a new chapter. No matter the rankings, no matter the records, THE MICHIGAN WOLVERINES are focused on one thing... BEAT OHIO STATE.

DISC 1 November 22, 1969
Ann Arbor, MI
Michigan 24 ∙ Ohio State 12.
The official start of the "Ten-Year War," this game ranks as one of the biggest upsets in college football history. Ohio State entered the game as the defending national champions and the top-ranked team in the country, with a 22-game winning streak under the direction of head coach Woody Hayes. The Wolverines' rookie head coach Bo Schembechler, who had played and coached under Woody Hayes had one goal when he came to Ann Arbor - to beat Ohio State.

Disc 2 November 25, 1995
Ann Arbor, MI
Michigan 31 ∙ Ohio State 23
# 2 Ohio State came to Ann Arbor undefeated and averaging 40ppg, while the Wolverines were mired in a sub-par three loss season. But that didn't stop the Wolverines' Tim Biakabutuka from exploding for 313 yards, dwarfing Heisman Trophy candidate and eventual winner Eddie George's 104 rushing yards for Ohio State.

Disc 3 November 22, 1997
Ann Arbor, MI
Michigan 20 ∙ Ohio State 14
With their first shot at a national championship in 50 years on the line, the Wolverines took it to Ohio State physically right from the kickoff. Michigan's Charles Woodson got into a scuffle early with Ohio State's top receiver David Boston, but it was Woodson's day as he racked up a 37-yard reception at wide receiver, an interception in the end zone at cornerback and a 78-yard punt return for a touchdown. The win propelled the Wolverines to a national championship and Woodson to becoming the first defensive player ever to win the Heisman Trophy.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas, a huge Michigan fan. I was going to order it from the M-Den official store and it was sold out, so I was lucky to find it here. He was super excited! It came quickly in the mail also.

Great DVD set with perfect picture quality. I especially enjoyed re-watching the 1997 game called by the great Keith Jackson. My only complaint is that they did not include the 2003 game. The 1995 Tim Biakabutuka game was great but the 2003 game was the 100th meeting and we won the Big 10 title while spoiling OSU's chance to play in the BCS title game.
