Man,K.P. Yohannan is so challenging. I like how he made it very practical.Only read this if you're ready to be confronted head-on in yourobedience to Christ.--Mr. Z.B., Illinois --Readers Respond to "The Roadto Reality"
After reading K. P. Yohannan's book Revolution in World Missions, I was really impressed on how he grasped the realities of the lukewarmChurch in America. I just finished reading his follow-up book to thatone: The Road to Reality. If he hit a home run with the book Revolution in World Missions, then he hits a grand slam with this one. --Pilgrim--defendingcontending.com
About the Author
Yohannan is the founder and international director of Gospel for Asia, a Christian mission organization that has brought the Good News of Christ to millions in South Asia over the last three decades.
Born in India, Dr. Yohannan, at the age of 16, responded to the Lord's call to serve Him in North India. In 1974, he came to the United States, where he received his theological training and pastored a church for four years.
When the Lord reminded Yohannan of the countless millions in Asia still waiting to learn of His love, he resigned his pastorate, and he and his wife, Gisela, started Gospel for Asia. Today, the ministry supports thousands of national workers and vibrant congregations throughout South Asia. Additionally, Gospel for Asia's Bridge of Hope program cares for tens of thousands of children, helping them break out of the generational curses of poverty and hopelessness.
Dr. Yohannan is a prolific writer with more than 200 books published in Asia. Yohannan's landmark book, Revolution in World Missions, is an international bestseller that has literally changed the course of mission history in our generation. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

The disciplines of spiritual reality include holiness, suffering, sacrifice, spiritual intimacy, stewardship, simplicity, spiritual warfare, submission, obedience, and more.
The Road to Reality has been in print for more than two decades. It has earned a place among Christian classics. I’ve read it twice now and still find it personally challenging.
The message is challenging because we are soft and comfortable in our modern Christianity. K.P. Yohannan is like the voice of John the Baptist calling us to genuine repentance. He shows the road to spiritual reality in the Bible and compares each aspect to how we live. We have settled for standards far below the biblical models for followers of Christ. Yes, there is grace, but we must examine our own practices and determine where corrective action is required. This is life-changing stuff, if we’re willing to follow the narrow path on the road to reality.
I’d encourage you to read anything and everything by K.P. Yohannan, but if you’re not familiar with his writing, The Road to Reality is an excellent place to start.

I decide to give the author another chance with his updated version of, "The Road to Reality" and I'm glad I did. I truly appreciate KP Yohannan's perspective now. This book is a call out to western civilization/American churches and Christians where we've been blessed exponentially more than those in third world countries. His premise is based around The scripture verse found in Luke 12:48, "but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more." The author uses this verse in the context of world missions and evangelism of the 1000s of people groups who have yet to hear the Gospel.
This book definitely left me moved to reassess and evaluate my situation; something that's good for all of us to do from time to time.

perception and vision of the reality of the faith we are called to proclaim. The book always brings us to the reality of our faith as given in Holy Scripture and meets us in our suffering and torn world. A continued reading along with the Scriptures is certainly recommended.
