Top reviews from the United States

I read this book my freshman year in college. I don't know why. it was certainly not for a class. Anyway I was deeply impressed with what mr. Voigt had to say, and tried to tell people about it for a long time.
It's really an amazing book, because it is a kind of beginning text in what would later become the environmental movement. There was no such movement at the time, or even awareness. But anyone who read this book became aware of lots of things they had never thought about before.
I never forgot it either. look how long it's been. 60 years. I remembered the name of the book and the name of the author, and I liked telling people about it. A great, seminal book, and still relevant too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A seminal work.

If you're interested in the future well being of the world, this is a seminal work. We're probably now past the point of no return in ecological concerns, so read this book and ACT !
