SUCH a great read!! : )
Road to Victory is no different. Knight (Aidan Scott) fell for and claimed Kim the minute he saw her. The only problem is she was under Mack's protection. Kim's past has her hiding behind thick walls no one should be able to break through. Knight isn't just anyone. He is on a mission to win Kim over.
There were so many surprises, good and bad, in the book. I kept reading just to see what happened next. I kept reading just see what secrets were revealed. I kept reading to see Knight in action. He maybe younger than Kim, but age definitely did not make a difference.
Kim's past brought tears. Kim's past brought a wish for revenge. Kim's accomplishments brought ona happy dance. Through it all Knight is there, the white knight ready to protect and love. Fingers crossed for more Dogs of Fire in the near future.
Kim has a lot of secrets, she is scared where Knight is concerned because he could break her in a way no one has before. Knight though just wants Kim to trust him, one day at a time. If she is willing to give him a chance, he will give her the world.
I liked this one but had an odd storyline that I didn't think quite fit in. This series about bikers is quite different as most are respectable businessmen in different areas. I thought the book was great and Kim's story was haunting. Overall another entertaining read for Piper Davenport.
Meanwhile, Knight is training Kim for a possible Olympic spot on the US Equestrian team and wearing down her resistance to a permanent relationship with him.
Hot sex, strong characters, bad guys and trouble, a HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger. A very good story.
Once again, the author has written a fast-paced action-packed story that is filled with interesting characters. Her Heroine is facing down a bad childhood, and her Hero helps immensely. There is a refreshing ability of the characters to take time to get to know each other. Many contemporary fiction books involve premature commitment, which is not such a good idea. But I do think that in the real world, a motorcycle club would be much more gritty than is portrayed in these books. Still love them! Can't wait for the next book in the series!
