This book starts off with Violet and Kim on their way to the hospital to see their brother Alex that has entered a coma like state. On their way there, they run into the younger Alex, that's when things get confusing. In the end, one of the brothers must choose which one will live and which one will die.
This book has A LOT of potential! The book grabbed me from the beginning and I was able to read this in one sitting. I wanted to get to know the characters more and at times I felt like it was rushed toward the end. I felt so bad for Kyle having to witness his brother collapse, if I went through a similar situation, I don't think I could of called 911 in time.
I loved the plot of this book and I hope to read more about the characters such as what happened after the end? Can we get more of a back story on the characters like the father that went through a similar situation? You know the author did a wonderful job on a book, when you want to know more about the characters.
I loved how close this family was. It felt very real to me because they had real relationships with each other. Real relationships are complicated so I loved that this family was just so complicated. There's nothing more real than that. At first, I liked the dialogue between all of the characters but after awhile I craved a little more. I wanted some action.
The time travel scene was well done and I liked all of the references to other time travel tales. The author obviously knew what she was doing in that aspect. All in all, this was an entertaining book with some good time travel.
