At the outset you might wonder, "What could a book by a financial adviser possibly offer that I haven’t heard from dozens of other men and women in that profession?" The subtitle answers that question in part, forecasting the book’s guidelines for “Success with Life, Relationships, and Money.”
Even as early as the book’s introduction, Henderson notes: “Sure, I can help you find the best mutual fund, life insurance product, or asset allocation, but my intention is to help you on your way to investing in a fulfilled life.”
You will want to read this book with a pen or pencil handy, to complete the valuable exercises at the end of each chapter. The Roadmap to a RichLife is designed for participatory reading, not passive browsing.
Henderson does not promise quick, easy wealth. “Being rich doesn’t just happen,” he warns. Rather, “it requires planning and focus, decisions and guiding principles.”
I highly recommend this book as a way to engage in sound financial planning, while realizing that a rich life invariably includes what money cannot buy or even rent.
