- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2011I wanted a tally counter to help me keep a count of how many laps I walk around an indoor track at the city fitness center. Saw a number of cheap counters listed on Amazon and read varying stories of them falling apart or skipping numbers - not terribly useful.
So, I decided to go upmarket an give this one a try. After several weeks, I have found this one to count reliably and hold together. It feels like a solid piece of equipment in my hand and it is comfortable to carry. The thumb activated counter "button" gives a reassuring mechanical click and I have not found it to skip. Resetting back to zero is a simple twist of the knob on the side.
I'll try to take and post a picture showing how well it fits in the hand.
In short, if a reliable tally counter at a decent price is what you are looking for, you have found it here.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2015I bought 6 of these for my students to use in my classroom (they keep track of how many times I use certain words that I'm trying to teach them). The price was right and the reviews were favorable. Delivery took several weeks. When the counters arrived, 1 of them didn't work but the other 5 did. Within a few weeks, another one stopped working (wouldn't reset back to 0000). Contrary to many reviews, the clickers don't feel that solid or well built. I still feel as though I got my money's worth but will next time look for a higher quality counter.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2010When I purchased this counter, I was sceptical because of its low cost. It works great, has a very solid feel, and is comfortable to hold. I shook it to see if anything was loose, and if would effect the count (it didn't). It passed the test, and my initial fear of it accidentally being reset was proven wrong. You have to manually turn the knob to reset it. I haven't given it the drop test, and really don't need to. It has a finger loop to insure positive grip in either hand. The numbers are large, easy to read, and they stay aligned too. I would recommend the Robic M-357 Tally Counter to anyone.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2013This works well for what it is. Bought it for my daughter to keep track of how many times she itches a day, as she has bad eczema, and I had read behavior modification can work. Simple to use and sturdy. Now if she would only use it.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2012I haven't had it very long, but I already love this thing. It's sturdy, doesn't need batteries, and the knob to reset it works great. The button becomes a little stiff to click as the number gets higher, especially after 100, but not so stiff that anyone other than perhaps a very small child would have trouble with it. The "click" sound is audible enough and you can feel it click, it should work perfectly even in a loud area (such as counting customers to a venue).
Edit Aug 2023: I still have it, it still works perfectly even after I accidentally dropped it a couple times.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2014I needed a new counter for work, and it wasn't until after paying for my order that I discovered it would take a few weeks for delivery. When it finally arrived, it only worked for 1 day before it quit working. When trying to push down the tally counter the numbers simply will not move. It's garbage and I'll never buy it again. Don't waste your money. Buy a decent one that will last much longer.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2018Finger handle came off almost immediately
- Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2012The Robic M-357 Tally Counter works great for my needs - counting how many times I walk, jog or run laps at the gym. It never misses a click and is easy to reset. Fits perfectly in my hand and is simple to use. This is the second time I am purchasing this same unit as I lost my first one...
