Robin Lyons worked in public education for twenty-nine years - first as a school bus driver, then transportation supervisor, and lastly payroll accountant. Before retirement, she ran for and was elected to the school board in her hometown.
Six years into her school board position a beloved school principal was gunned down in his office by an employee. The loss felt by the school district and community was tremendous. The tragedy changed Robin's view of life in a small town. She hopes reading her stories will arm parents, grandparents, school employees, and community members with the awareness that bad things can and do happen at school.
Robin writes mystery/thriller novels about a school marshal who does his best to protect everyone connected to the school.
She also maintains a blog where she writes about true crimes occurring at or connected to schools.
Twenty-nine years as an school employee and six years as a school board member provided plenty of inspiration for her stories.
