About the Author
Kaweah is a husband, a father, a wanderer, and a software engineer. He resides in San Jose, California. He was born across Inglewood Park from South Central Los Angeles and raised in a variety of places: the Tulare Basin, the Central Coast, the Mojave Desert, and the upper Sacramento Valley, across South Carolina from Saint Helena Island to the Blue Ridge, and briefly, South Africa. Kaweah’s father was a blind wrestler and chiropractor with a bad case of wanderlust and a yearning to share his Iranian gospel. Kaweah’s mother: the epileptic business manager who made it all possible. ... After stints at a couple colleges and universities, an internship at Fermilab, and a guard job in Israel, Kaweah got a degree in mathematics from the University of South Carolina. He has since received his MS in engineering and worked for Yosemite National Park, the Naval Postgraduate School, the U.S. Geological Survey, Apple, NASA, Motorola, Yahoo, eBay, etc., ... Kaweah reads, writes, recites, and hikes. He occasionally leads tours at Tor House at Carmel Point. Mostly he just walks the dog.
