By Stephen Cann on June 20, 2013
Format: Paperback
While building a machine to perform the very human activity of playing ping pong, Mr. Andersson has deconstructed and reconstructed the essence of all animal behavior.

This book is a tour d'force. By starting with the one condition, that it must work, Mr. Andersson has detailed mechanisms which eerily parallel actual biological solutions to the same problems.

Not for the faint of heart, this book requires a background in physics, math and a bit of the c computer language to read. Yet it is like reading a thriller as you turn the pages to see how he solves the next problem.

I think this book should be of interest to anyone in the fields that comprise neuroscience as well as anyone interested in epistemology.
