This book is full of amazing artwork. I had the chance to meet Eric and what a great experience that was, his artwork is on my wall now. It's nice to have a look at all the other pieces that I had chosen to pass up.

This is pretty much the most awesome art book ever. The title says it all, but the art is incredible. It's like the artist read my mind and rendered it on canvas. Every page is a treat, but there are some incredible highlights: like the fights between a robot and UFO army against an advancing army of giant donuts, robots stealing treasure from Kaiju, or recreations of the famous image of Cassius Clay standing over Sonny Liston rendered in Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots.

Joyner has taken two of my favorite things and produced art that is both accessible and enjoyable. You will find yourself smiling as you look through this book which combines both nostalgia and humor. I can't wait until the sequel!

I saw some Joyner paintings on the Internet a few years ago and immediately identified with his style. But this book sat in my wishlist unpurchased for years. Finally, I decided to take the plunge and am thrilled with the results. This book has page after page of incredible art. I leave it out on my coffee table and my friends always comment on it. Highly recommended if you're a fan of the artist.

Well, I like Tin Robots, and I like Donuts, so I bought this book on a lark. This is the first art book I've purchased, and I love it. When my kids were littler, some evenings we'd flip through the book and get to have these nice little conversations on art: "How do you think this robot feels? Why do you think he feels that way?" Think of a robot sitting by themselves in a field, vs a robot riding alone on a motorcycle, vs a robot playing horseshoes with a giant donut and the Coit tower (really)! I'm not sure, but I think this has helped the kids with understanding other people's feelings, or how to express emotion without just saying it.

The art itself is a lot of fun- favorites include the boxing series, the "usual suspects" lineup, and the "robot vs donut war" pictures. The colors are bright and beautiful, there is a whole lot of expression for a tin toy, and they are just plain fun. I found myself avoiding the "Noir" pictures with the kids (as a robot hanging itself might be a bit too scary), but as an adult those images are really powerful.

A great coffee table book, and a great one to pull down with little kids if you want them to check out some art that they may find relateable.
