While this game has plenty of faults, I got this game because of the music. I love the songs and the game was cheap. I know everyone complained about the graphics, and they are pretty bad; it's a good thing I really care that much. Download times and connecting to the server are pretty slow, but tolerable. I didn't realize when I purchased this that there was no dlc for wii. I found that out after I ordered it but that's okay, because the price of this was right and I can always get RB2. I found out you can use mics other than RB. I used my EA mic from Boogie Superstar until I received my RB mic and it worked great. Vocal mode is pretty fun, and find the precussion parts interesting. The guitar is a whole other issue,I got a used one for a pretty goo price but it is just horribly cheap and I am having problems with notes that come in quick sucession, other than that the songs are pretty easy to play compared to GH. I should have invested in a RB2 guitar (I should have listened to those reviews). It does takes away from the fun of the game when you have to deal with a cheap peripheral. Like every one else I think it's stupid that you can only use a RB guitar for this game, but thanks to all the reviews I knew that before I purchased it.

This game is really good- the songs are great. I would totally recommend it. However, whenever something is a hit and there is a "sequal" made, the newest version of the video game is always better- with more graphics, more choices, and easier to use. Now don't get me wrong, this origional is awesome- its just that Rock Band 2 is more for the beginners- I found origional Rock Band more challenging. Besides, what I did not like about it was that you cannot play by yourself to try to play more songs to get more gigs in new cities (if your other "bandmates" are not around).

But, in the end, I would still recommend this game.

This is one of the only games I would claim nostalgia for and that's just because it's so damn hard to get all the pieces together to enjoy this game. The tracks are good, the Wii exclusive songs are nice, but being coerced into using Rock Band's awful controllers over the good ones that Guitar Hero made soil the experience. Thankfully they never made that mistake again. If you can get everything together to enjoy this, you'll love it, but it's the hardest thing to do in today's world.

Over all good game and as promised by the people selling it came in when they said it would . As many people have mentioned none of the new guitars work with it other than the old Fender guitar .The one thing I would suggest before buying the game is to look for some older guitars to play on , maybe some old Madcats guitars that came out at the time Brack band did .

While this version of rockband has good songs in it, you don’t get to earn cash to buy cool outfits for your characters and I thought that feature was available in the first version but it’s not. So I was sorely disappointed. I really wanted and remembered loving that feature when I was in high school (but now I’m wondering if that was with a different console?) If you are looking for the version where you can dress up and personalize the characters I recommend purchasing rock band 2 instead of 1.
