Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Children sing along with cool tunes for each letter, play musical games, and learn old and new alphabet songs as they reinforce letter recognition skills, learn letter-sound relationships, and even develop a richer vocabulary.

Review

The hand-clappin' tunes of the Rock 'N Learn Alphabet CD bring excitement to letter recognition. Designed for children ages 2-5, even first graders get into these beats that reinforce basic phonics along with a brightly illustrated companion book. --The Boston Parents' Paper

I checked this out from the library as a preview for possibly purchasing the alphabet DVD. The music is horrendous. I could probably stand to listen to it if it actually helped my LO learn the alphabet, but that is no guarantee.
this CD has a book that goes with it. The CD tells the listener to turn to a particular page in the book. Now, the reason I buy CD's is to hear and teach my daughter wonderful music. this is not that. The reason I buy an educational DVD is so that if there is a period of time that I cannot actively be entertaining her (say, when I am in the shower or driving the car), at least she can be learning something. This CD has awful music and requires parental participation. therefore, it is an absolute no-go in my book.
I am not going to purchase the DVD either, and I will definitely check out another rock n learn from the library before I even consider purchasing any of the other dvd's.
Get the Leapfrog Letter Factory DVD if you are looking for an alphabet DVD.
