Two people who love music but come from different worlds.
Liam is the typical rock star indulging in parties and woman.
Abby is a cellist hired to accompany his band on tour. She does it for the money and earns an experience she didn’t dream of.
The first meeting between them was awkward as Tucker, one of Liam's band members was acting like a jerk towards Abby.
But things quickly changed. Liam apologized for his friend and the tour started with a positive note.
Slowly, Liam and Abby realized they are attracted to each other and start a relationship.
A relationship between 2 different people isn’t easy and both Abby and Liam have personal issues to overcome and make their relationship work.
I liked Liam's initial approach to the matter: consulting his friend Garrick (who we met in a previous book ) who is one of the few friends Liam has who is in a relationship.
Communication is key and once Liam realized that, things progressed with Abby.
I loved seeing Abby get accustomed to the world Liam lives in, so much different than her world, but still stayed true to herself..
I liked seeing her grow more confident. She stood her ground when Liam made a mistake and made me admire her.
She didn’t stay and wait for him to process his feelings and actions. She took action that made him act.
Rock Strong is a book that describes the journey to happiness of two very different people.
A book that shows us that with work & communication it is possible to find and keep love.
Okay … I’ll be straight with you … I REALLY liked Liam and Abby, along with the other members of Point Break. It is ONLY because I liked the characters that I stuck with this novel because, without trying to give anything away, while the storyline might portray “insta romance” both Abby & Liam have reservations which in turn gets them to behaving badly. Badly enough that while some readers might feel Liam’s choices are fine, other readers might be disgruntled with the decisions Liam & Abby make. I was on the disgruntled side, I mean I get why Liam did what he did and though it wasn’t that bad I wish he hadn’t done it. I WISH what does happen wasn’t the big dilemma in this novel, though what happens gives this novel a more realistic feel to it.
Nevertheless, as I already stated, I did really like Abby & Liam together. Though they seem to be opposites, they have many similarities that draws them together too. I was rooting for them from the beginning. Then with Liam’s punk cowboy-ness and Abby’s classy staunchness, I found them to be an odd match made in heaven.
I do recommend this novel to those looking for a realistic-ish contemporary rockstar romance!

It reminds me of Adam and Mia in Gayle Forman's 'If I Stay' series. A rock star and a cellist. I have never forgotten the anguish and journey of those two. This story has its own merit. It is a good romantic, HEA book to read. Nice.
