Top customer reviews
I bought two of these X Rocker chairs, one for each of my two sons (ages 10 and 5) since they both love playing video games and watching television together.
The chairs are relatively light (about 27 lbs) and easy to carry. They also fold in half so they can be conveniently stored out of the way when they're not in use. Parents of small children should be aware that little fingers can be severely injured if they get caught between where the chair folds and unfolds. There's a warning sticker on the chairs about this issue.
I'm 5'9" and I've been sitting in one of these chairs for a couple hours already. But I'll address comfort soon.
Surprisingly, this chair's wireless audio feature isn't advertised very heavily here. But, it's one of the best features. I was afraid of having a network of wires running from my television to these chairs, but there's no need. I've connected the included wireless transmitter to my television's stereo outputs. (You only need one wireless transmitter to provide audio to more than one chair.) Both the transmitter and the chairs are set at Channel 1. The transmitter requires 2 AAA batteries. I'm not certain how long the battery life will be, but so far I love the wireless feature!
I am very pleased with the sound that comes from these speakers so far. I've read other reviews saying that the speakers have died after a few weeks of use. If that happens, I'll be certain to write a followup review.
I have the volume set on both chairs at the 9 'o-clock position and I will caution my children to not adjust the volume much higher than that. There's no need as the sound is plenty loud enough when sitting in the chairs. The speakers are likely to distort and blow out if pushed too hard. If they want to listen louder, there are headphone jacks they can plug into. There's also a knob to adjust bass output. I have them set at the 10 'o-clock position and it's fine. Anything higher, and the sound becomes boomy to my ears.
There are two concealed speakers located at the top of the chair, one just above each shoulder, and a larger woofer on the bottom of the chair for bass. This speaker configuration provides a nice stereo sound bubble. Since it's Christmas, there's a nice variety of holiday music playing on all the High-Def public TV stations and I enjoyed listening to these programs through the chairs' speakers. Video games and movies sound fine, too. They're certainly better than the speakers built into most TVs today.
Regarding comfort, a pillow to support the lower back is an absolute must for me. There's not much cushioning, and the padded headrest sits in the middle of my upper back. Actually, it digs more than sits. But, placing a pillow to support the lower back corrects the odd contours and makes this chair very nice to sit in during a movie or gaming session. There's enough cushioning for my bottom. Overall, it's a lot more comfortable than the floor, but a bit less comfortable than an airline seat.
Regarding style, these black colored chairs received the mom-approval rating. They don't look horrible in our living room and they fit in nicely against our espresso-colored furniture items. The faux leather accent makes them look more expensive than they actually are.
Durability remains to be seen. I have no doubt that my boys will put these chairs through their paces and I can easily imagine the seams coming apart within a few months. But we'll see.

**One year later, 11-29-16**
After 4 months, the gaming chair no longer provides and sound at all. Very disappointed.
On the bright side, the kids like to sit in it to watch movies. I'd recommend to by the kids a bean bag chair and some ear buds.. Cheaper, just as fun.
These chairs are good for kids and do have good sound. It is not good for an adult at all and the wireless sound quality are deal breakers.
