Its simply a wipeable notebook, washed clean with included micro fiber wipe and water.
The tech goes beyond that. Each page has a qr code and using the app and your smartphone or tablet you take photos of your pages before doing the wet wipe process.
Photos get put where you want them including various online services, with email being the old steady it is.
There are other neat features where filling bubblesheet style circles at bottom of page it will magically do the destination sending without your manual selecting such. Limitation though is only for single page scans, you cannot have it do such with a multi page scan converted to PDF.
Rocketbook has other interesting paper created to work with the app. Most interesting might be the corner stickers for use on whiteboards.
Neat cheap tech.
Only downside might be the third party pens made for such which could get expensive quickly.
A+ I give this. Simple but it works and saves piles of paper and shelf space storing your papers.
So, after making these "complaints", why am I giving it 5 stars? Because it effectively fills a need in an easy, eco-friendly way. As a psychologist, I take notes every day throughout my workday. They only need to last long enough for me to type them. (I am not able or willing to type notes while seeing patients.) Prior to discovering the Everlast, I was filling up notebook after notebook and then had to shred all of that paper. It feels great to have a more environmentally sound alternative. The ink goes on the page very easily and I find that it doesn't smear much, though I am right-handed. The Everlast is lighter-weight than my comparable paper notebook and I find 36 pages is sufficient for my needs. I do not upload my notes but I tried it when I first bought it. It is very simple to do and my small handwriting shows up clearly on the PDF.
This may not work for everyone's needs but it was just what I was hoping it would be.
UPDATE: I have now had my Everlast for 7.5 months and have used it extensively. While I am generally still pleased with it, there are some things that are annoying. It is simply too easy to wreck pages by accidentally picking up the wrong pen. Most of the pages I have messed up are not totally ruined as I can usually tell by the glide of the pen that something is wrong. I have also found that I can remove the offending ink with rubbing alcohol, though it mars the writing surface. The Frixion pens do run out of ink quickly - or perhaps not totally run out but become less and less fluid, leaving me to replace the cartridge because of the unsatisfactory writing experience. So I am saving by not buying paper notebooks but I am buying a lot more pens or refills. Also, it is important to note that it is not always convenient to have to wait for the ink to dry or for the pages to be so easily wiped clean with water. I have fairly frequently inadvertently smeared ink with my hand while writing. I've had a couple of occasions where I smeared dry ink because my hands were damp, I spilled water - or worse, because I was cleaning off other pages and the water just leaked through. All ink has its limitations but this can be problematic if you cannot make out what you meant and it was important. This could be resolved by scanning and having a second copy - but this would be an inconvenience for me as I do not want my handwritten notes in a cloud because of their confidential nature. But these are all just petty complaints. I might downgrade to 4.5 stars but I'm still glad that I bought it. It is actually holding up quite well for as much as I use it.
The ability to just use the app to snap an automatically color calibrated scan to my Google Drive or other storage method has made keeping these notes very easy and the cleanup, while a little messy occasionally, makes it pretty easy to just reset once I've recorded all my current notes. Since I purchased my Everlast, Rocketbook added support for handwriting recognition to the app which is nice but I mostly just use it for auto naming files since I have terrible handwriting in general.
Now for the warts. While the Everlast is a very useful product, it isn't perfect. My biggest complaint about it would be how temperamental the pens get when writing on the pages. I frequently just have a pen cut out writing in the middle of a word or sentence. After some testing I've generally attributed this problem to having a page not be perfectly clean before writing on it. Anything from oil from my fingers to not having properly scrubbed that last round of ink off with hot water seems to cause the ball in the pen to slip occasionally, which makes it stop pulling out ink. This can usually be resolved by pressing harder or scribbling on another surface (like a sticky note pad) for a few seconds.
Obviously the first option isn't great. You may notice that the first page of my Everlast is currently numbered 3 because I thoroughly wore through the first two pages polymer coating and was largely unable to write on them any more. It makes sense, any fight between metal and plastic, the metal is probably going to win out. As such the product does seem to have a life expectancy, albeit a very long one. That does mean there is some waste, and I'm not sure what the fallout will be from having all this temperature sensitive ink flushed down the drain.
The second option sort of seems to defeat the purpose of having a Everlast notebook in the first place and does create some kind of alternate waste.
If Rocketbook could figure how to make the surface of the pages a little more "grabby" to make the pen ball roll better this would be a near perfect product. Even with that flaw, if you're looking for a versatile way to bring handwritten notes and digital notes together, this is definitely a good option.

The Rocketbook is an ideal compromise. Just the right size for meeting notes and other similar things, pages are easy to write on, and the app is great - just point the camera, click through a few things, and my notes are already in OneNote. The OCR is surprisingly good for basic text (especially considering how bad my handwriting is); only problem is it doesn't automatically format bullets, extended sentences, and similar. Pages clean up very easily; I even accidentally used a regular pen on one, but it didn't take long to clean it up with a bit of isopropyl. I don't regret buying it.
I also bought the carrying case for it; I'll review that in another post.
