Update after just hours of putting it together the seam on the bottom of the horse came undone and the sound button doesn’t work 😡
This was her big Christmas gift and i was so excited to give it to her. Don’t buy from this company. Took a picture of my daughter trying to restuff her horse. 😡
I'm not a real handy person, so I was happy to find out that assembling this wasn't too terrible. It did take a while, at most a few hours, which could've been done earlier had I not been doing it alone. Overall, the instructions were pretty easy to follow. The only issue I recall having was at one point when I had to drill the nail into each of the wooden sticks. I was worried I'd drill the new hole for the nail crooked and it would be too damaged to use. But it worked out. I managed to get it assembled.
My son is about 30lbs/3ft now and can comfortably ride this toy. I have a crazy active toddler and he knows how to go absolute ham on it and I was impressed how well the toy held up, despite my son actually riding the toy across the room. (He hops/rides on it that hard that the whole thing gallops..) This toy is able to take a beating, in a way.
It is pricey, but for us, it was worth it this is the one toy my son continues to play with regularly. It used to be almost 24/7 in the beginning, down to daily use, and now it is considerably less...only because he has a trampoline now.
Anyway, if your child shows interest in this (before I bought it, I asked my son if he liked the toy while showing him pics of videos of it), it is definitely worth the cost and your child will have fun pretending they have their own, fuzzy companion that they can fit on.
It's held up quite well, one small seem has started to rip in the fabric but the springs and everything else are still mint condition. I haven't had any issues with the sound as some folks have mentioned.
